I could look…

I completed my marathon about 13 months after I started running. I ran a 10k, a 15k and a VERY HILLY 10mile race during the training, and finished the marathon in 4:16:58... I was 35 at the time. Things that I did that I believe helped me tremendously: - proper shoes (as many have mentioned) - learning to eat the right…

I used several recipes from this site http://whoneedsacape.com/tag/40-meals-in-4-hours/ (and a couple of others similar to this) and made 20 freezer bags of meals for the crockpot over Christmas break this year. It was one of the best things I did to help us avoid eating out too much during the winter months, which for me…

^^^ This I started to build up cardio endurance on the elliptical, then mixed in jogging/running on the treadmill. At the same time I would do step aerobics/strength classes at the Y. There was a lady there who was in her early 70's who said "If I can run a marathon, so can you" (I was in my mid 30's). Well, that sounded…

Actually, the glass is always full - it's just not necessarily full of one thing... Water/milk/liquid and air :) That's how the scientist/chemist in me sees it!
