i completely agree. i have to say when i started this back in november i didn't find MFP to be a very friendly, welcoming place at all. luckily in my second attempt here, i have sought out a few key people to help support and who will support me through this journey. but posting in the boards isn't something i'm too…

i'm actually feeling kind of shocked at some of the responses people are sending you. just ignore the *kitten* that aren't taking this seriously. if you are truly scared of her, you need to get out. as for tonight, tell her to get oil herself, OR go out and just do something for you. i'm so sorry that this is your…

i lost my father 8 months ago to his third heart attack, hence me wanting to change my life the way he never could health wise. it is so hard and doesn't get any easier. though he is my motivation in getting through the hard diet/work out times, and i hope that i can make him proud with my results.

i'm 303, and just did it for the first time tonight. some things were harder than others because of my size, but i tried to accommodate here and there. i had to march in place a few times, because my knees were killing me from the cardio, but i still sweat my butt off and feel great that i did it. plus she is super…

great job! i love what you said about working out. i'm trying to make it part of my lifestyle as well.

wow how amazing are you! and such an inspiration (as people keep saying). i just started my own today, and hope in a year i can post the same type of thing. i also started c25k today and found that running for 30 seconds almost killed me. but i'm going to keep to it, and hopefully get great results like you have. thank you…

i completely hear you. this just happened to me starting in february. my boyfriend moved in and next thing you know i can't fit in my jeans anymore. i was overweight to begin with, don't get me wrong, but adding an extra 15+ pounds because men can apparently eat ANYTHING and not suffer any consequences, didn't help…

wow you are just amazing. you give me hope :)

so amazing! i like that you wore the same outfit! it really showed how hard you have worked!

wow simply amazing!

wow harsh lol. i appreciate people wanting to really keep track. i don't think they should never go out to eat.
-
honestly i always try to make sure i know where i'm going so i can look up the menu online first and decide what i'm going to eat before hand. i wouldn't ever judge anyone who pulled out a scale, cause i get it. i just don't think i'd have the guts to do it.

no i look very forward to not having my bra on lol

this is where i am at. 30 min on the treadmill at like 2.3 is hell. i know i'll get better. so when i do a full on house cleaning i am probably burning calories too. i'm glad to get all the insight from everyone on this topic. so thank you all!!!

it's not dumb....i hate those red numbers!
-
thank you both rubybelle and roannered because you made me think about this in a different way. i really didn't understand what setting your activity level in your profile did to your overall plan. it makes sense. i do expos sometimes myself, so moving all those boxes and stuff would probably be something to count. and…

okay can i just say again that i was asking if i should be posting this or not. i just wanted peoples' opinions on this topic. i'm not calling out anyone who does. i am trying really hard to focus on my own goals and want to do this right. so please know that i'm not comparing myself to others in a negative way. i'm just…
-
you're right, and i do. i just wanted to make sure i was doing this correctly. thanks for the insight on the activity level. i'm an office worker mostly, but i don't think i'm going to count this stuff. if anything it will just help me in the end. :) thank you!
-
that's what i was thinking! i saw it in the database "cleaning the house vigorously" for an hour was something like 437 calories burned. i cannot imagine how that is better exercise than some other things that are less.
-
wow...out of all the before/after pics, your before body type is most like how mine is now. this does nothing but push me to work harder to get there. thank you so much for posting!!!

i am doing this really keeping my brother in mind. he is so supportive of me, and just gets how my weight affects my whole entire life. he wants to see me feeling confident and good about myself. and i really want to be able to make him proud. he is right there for me, and i want to do this to show him i can be strong and…
