So you should be, I've been fasting for Ramadan: eating healthy but can't manage more than around 1,000-1100 calories and my weight us exactly the same. Not lost or gained.

God this is so much hard work!! I don't understand why it should be hard to shift at least a pound! when I was younger I could lose it like that! I've been stuck too: one year same weight I'm 5ft tall so not really tall... Every year I've gained about 1/2 stone (7lbs) I'm still eating more or less the same and walk…

I weigh every morning after the loo and before I have had breakfast- but realised that my body holds on to weight no matter what I do- in a year I haven't lost a lot but the inch loss is another story. The scales depress me but sometimes they surprise me. i only record loss on MFP never gains as I have gain every other day…

Don’t give up! I have been on here ONE year exactly now, and lost only 3lbs!! what I have learnt: Patience, determination, that a calorie is not the same as another, if you have been on lots of diets like I have, your body builds up a resistance to lose like it did when you first dieted. I wanted to give up on so many…

Great thread, thanks. I have learnt a lot here. I want to learn how to strength train too as I noticed with each time I diet ( Low calorie diet)- although I slim down I lose "shape" tone.

think the general response is don't go for Shakeology. More than anything what I am trying to do is clean my body. I just feel really yukky inside with all the toxins. I have been taking 11 tablets a day for bronchitis the last six weeks- that's a lot of meds!!! I think I am just going to carry on with my homemade green…

thank you- great idea.
-
Thanks, and congratulations on your weight loss that is awesome. :) I don't think Ideal Weight Shakes is a product I can get in the U.K, are you from the USA?
-
-
so have you tried it?
-
Thanks for that, really useful. I am also feeling a bit puffy, especially as recently I have fallen ill and on asthma inhalers, although it says that the steroid dose is too low to make you put on weight I have noticed that I look "puffy" around my face and legs.

Our diets sound similar- without looking at your diary I can’t give you an accurate analysis. But you are welcome to look at mine. I was the same (I stayed statics for around 6 months!!) and almost gave up MPF and everything. It is really important to look at the QUALITY of food you eat- although I was under my calories…

I have switched from whey to soy because a lot of the shakes I've compared it to have so much sugar and other fillers. The one I now have has something like 0.3 grams of sugar per serving and is as close to natural as possible. It doesn't taste as good as others ( taste a bit like Horlicks) but I find it keeps md going for…

You seemed like you got yourself streamlined but wasn't particularly overweight. Well done the transformation is still very noticesble. How did you do this and how long did it take you? What bf are you before and after?
-
Guscles that's an absolutely inspiring transformation well done!! How long did it take you and what the biggest thing you've learned which you can pass to us? I'm a 5ft lady 158lbs up and down
-

I log Tea and coffee as it is- now that's just logging on MFP diary, because it's there in the database so why not use it accurately right? In terms of thinking that it doesn't count towards your "fluid" intake, well plain common sense tells me yeah it does. Fluids are what they are and it's a lot of nonsense about tea and…
-
Thanks everyone- it doesn't make sense to me becuase I thought you need a calorie deficit in order to lose weight but I will try upping it to 1600 calories and see. thanks. xx
-
thanks to all on here- I don't know am scared to eat more, and when I started on MFP and put in my weight loss goals that is what it set my daily calorie intake to: 1200. I have a FT 4 Polar heart rate monitor already and am using that when I do my workout- you are right I am not losing but I feel smaller, so I have taken…
-
I agree with you however- 1) Did Atkins lost weight- but a high maintenance diet which is hard (and ridiculously expensive- all the fresh meat and fish, organic etc) to stay on long term. You do not have raised cholesterol levels because you go into ketosis-its science and it works- my cholesterol went down by 1.5 points…
-
Thanks everyone there are definitely some things to try here I will do That and report back a week !!

Amazing!!! It's all that weight lifting you do! I think I have to check out YOU ARE YOUR OWN GYM
