One food that has helped me curb my bread cravings is keto mug buns. Theres lots of great recipes on Pinterest for "bread" you can make in a mug. Most as low as 6 carbs and lots of fibre.

I have rheumatoid arthritis, I'm 32, female and need to lose 60lbs of inactivity/steroid/medication related weight. I'm eating a keto type diet to see if I can eliminate some inflammation. Especially coming into the colder months, when it seems to hit me hardest. I'm combining that with intermittent fasting where I eat…

Hi, I also have severe rheumatoid arthritis. I have found resistance bands to be a real life saver. They are easier to control than weights. You can take them anywhere in your purse or suitcase. And theres lots of exercises you can do seated and using the chair to wrap the bands around. I just found out I have a cyst on my…

If you're lifting or a powerhouse cardio exerciser, don't workout on fast days. You need food for a quality workout. I do the 5:2, but try not to workout hard on fast days. I do light cardio (walking) and make the other my rest day. I'm losing a pound a week. I'm happy with that as I do heavy strength training and…

I would say stressing about it is what's holding you back. Take measurements and progress pics too. That stupid scale can really bring you down. Add me if you need support. I log daily and want to lose about 60 lbs.

If you want that type of program, I'd recommend Turbo Fire. I have rheumatoid arthritis, and all the pushups and plyometric exercises in p90x are hard on my joints. There's sample TF classes on YouTube if you're not ready to commit yet. New Beachbody TurboFire Workouts! http://youtu.be/fZwgU-II3rw

I just restarted it this morning! I go to the gym as well. Have about 50lbs to lose. Add me and were can motivate each other! Chantal

Chantal from Calgary. I am just working my way back up after being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis last march. I try to run 3x a week. Up to 5 miles on a good day. Can't wait to see everyone's progress. Im a barefoot runner, endurance runner and its awesome!

YouTube has a ton of free programs. Jessica Smith is awesome. And you can subscribe to her website for a free program. Walmart has cheap hand weights too. Sometimes good to bump up her workouts.

I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis last march. I went from running 10k easily. To hardly walking and being totally reliant on my husband to dress me and help me off the toilet. I'm back at it tho and working my way back. It's good you don't let your asthma hold you back. Theres some great YouTube videos about proper…

I bought a Veggetti from Walmart. Turns zucchini into noodles. You cant even tell you're not eating pasta. Zucchini especially soaks up the flavours of sauce and such. Its amazing. And you can eat it hot or cold. Well worth the $15.

Look at this guy LOL. he needs to be your style guru. But I agree. Buy a few key pieces. As you lose weight, you can just add fun belts and stuff. Walmart has some decent plus sized stuff by George.

A hard boiled egg keeps me full!

"C25K" is a great app. The one that sponsors breast cancer (its a free app). But if you want something really fun, use "Zombies, Run!". I got the apk online, so I didn't pay for it.

South Cowtown if anyone is interested. I do home workouts, walking and cycling. I have RA, so anyone else in the same boat is welcome to friend me too.

This. I take my measurements too. If I don't see any, or just a little weight, come off I do my measurements. They show my progress far better. I only do home workouts as well. I like being in my own home. And my "gym" is next to my bed haha

My diary is open. I'm on a 5:2 plan, so my diary is a bit different. Always up for trading meals and recipes though!!

I've just got into cycling. I ride a fixed gear. So even when I'm gliding for a couple minutes, I know my heart rate is still up. I also take a route that's mostly up hill. And because I don't have gears to change, it's reeeeeeeallly hard. So I'm definitely counting every second of my rides. Runtastic automatically pauses…

I'm still considered "plus size" in the fashion world and I am wholeheartedly embracing the crop top trend. You look awesome. Haters gonna hate!

I have osteo and rheumatoid arthritis. I was using an elliptical, but my doc and physio said it was putting me in an awkward gait. And was probably doing me more harm. They suggested swimming, but I don't like public pools. Second option was a bike. I bought a fixed gear and it's been awesome. It gives me a good workout. I…

Making your own is pretty easy. And then you know exactly whats in it. Or just eat real mayo. Sometimes that low fat/cal stuff is worse for you than the full fat stuff.

I know this thread is old. But for anyone just seeing it, I just started riding a bike. I have severe osteo and rheumatoid arthritis. I'm on methotrexate injections, plaquenil, vimovo and another naproxen type anti inflammatory I can never remember lol. I was diagnosed in March, and I could barely walk. I would cry…

This is about as logical as saying chewing gum helps you lose weight. Cuz ya know, chewing is like strength training...for your mouth. And you could totally burn off a bad diet by just chewing gum. Come ooooooooon! *face palm

I have aggressive rheumatoid arthritis. I am sticking to MFP's calorie plan. I've lost 2lbs a week for the last 3 weeks. I do some bike riding and walking. 80% food, 20% exercise. If you're really concerned, you can find exercises you can do in a chair, or sometimes workouts designed for pregnant women are gentle. Check…

Fitness Blender has some awesome free workouts on YouTube. Actually, theres alot of awesome free stuff on there. I think you can get the 30 Day Shred too.

I use Runtastic to log my activities. I feel like its fairly accurate because its also measuring how much ground I've covered in a time period. Its generally pretty close to what to MFP. And I almost never eat back my exercise calories.

I have RA mostly in my feet, hips and hands. I have osteoarthritis in my heels and toes. I just got a bike and it's been good. My physio said no elliptical cuz it puts your body in an un natural stride. I'm trying to tone around my damaged joints to support them But I also want to address the fact you said "fast weight…

I was using the strength section to monitor how many reps and how much weight I was doing. That way I know when to bump up, and I can see how far I've progressed over a certain period. Then I use the cardio strength to measure calories.

New to cycling. I have RA so my physio recommended it as a low impact exercise. Got a Huffy cruiser (with a kickass basket) so I can start riding to work. Farthest I've gone is 5.5km in about 20mins. My bike isn't really built for speed. But I am loving this new way to explore my neighbourhood.

I log everyday. If you need someone to chat to you can add me :) I have 45-50 lbs to lose. I have rheumatoid arthritis, so I def have days where I need some motivation too. I only workout at home, so if you're not a gym person, we can exchange home programs too. Hope I can help.
