  • I'm Yvonne and I live in Mesa, AZ, a suburb of Phx. I bought a 5200 from Costco about 5 years ago and it's changed my life! I even travel with it. So much so that my awesome hubby bought me the S30 for Mothers Day this year. I love, love, love my vitamix and use it several times a day. I seriously don't think I could live…
  • Same for me. The force is very accurate (for me anyway) for activities such as walking/hiking. Today I wore both during a 90 minute hike to compare. The calorie burn difference was less than 5. I'm impressed with the Force, but unfortunately, it doesn't track other workouts well such as p90x, etc.
  • I've done it 3x. First time I lost about 20lbs in 3 months, but gradually gained it back. The 2nd and 3rd times my loss was minimal. I wasn't really 'into' it those times though....just went along because my husband wanted to do it. There were a few things I really loved, but most of it was gross. It is also so expensive…
  • I agree with wake up at 5:45 or 6:00 and get in a 30 minute workout. I saw a quote that says "It's easier to wake up 30 minutes early and work out than to look in the mirror every day and not like what you see." You will feel awesome all day and after a week or so, your body will naturally get used to waking up at that…
  • Isometrix for me today. It's week 4, so 'recovery' week, though I feel like I don't need it as much with this program as opposed to p90x when I was dying for it. I added in a few minutes on the elliptical tonight -- needed low/no impact since I feel shin splints coming on and I have foot problems that running makes worse.…
  • Plan B sounds good to me! I completed a round of p90x and many times subbed in other cardio for the Kenpo and Cardio X days. I still had awesome results. For me, those 2 workouts were not challenging so I ended up burning more calories by subbing in something else. Good luck and stick with it! You will get great results!
  • I love mixing milk, a banana, an orange and some vanilla with some ice cubes. Tastes like an Orange Julius! I also add greens, but that isn't on your list :)
  • I'm doing the Lean schedule for p90x3. I also did the Lean schedule for p90x and had great results. Hoping for the same here. I will probably do the Classic after I finish lean. I'm a little surprised that there are no upper/lower body specific workout in the Lean program -- at least not in the first month and I don't…
  • CVX for me on Jan3rd. I was tired, but did all of it....probably not to the intensity I would like. Planned to do p90x Ab Ripper after, but decided to do that Jan4th with Isometrics and running. Tomorrow is the end of week 3 for me. I can definitely see more muscle definition in my arms and my tummy is a little slimmer. My…
  • I had the same issue. My hairdresser told me to just rinse on 'off' days and don't shampoo. You can condition if you need to. I have a leave-in conditioner that I use on the days I don't fully shampoo/condition. I also use dry shampoo, but mostly because it helps to give my hair body....not really for the 'shampoo'…
  • Yoga for us today. It felt awesome but hubby is blaming his bad golf day on doing yoga beforehand :) I think if anything, it probably helped!!! I am already able to stretch further and feeling stronger in the (many) vinyasas! I'm NOT a traditional yoga fan, but I love p90x yoga. Taking a rest from running today because my…
  • Warrior for me too today. I was kinda bummed I only burned 266 calories, but saw that AngDenSti burned only a few more than me, so I guess that's right. I couldn't do 100% of all the exercises today either-- I was really out of breath and my heart rate was in the high 160's. Looking forward to Yoga tomorrow!
  • There is already a group out there named p90x3 90 days to Fit. About 17-18 people have already joined. I am on day 2 week 3 of the Lean schedule for x3. I can't say enough great things about it. I'm a p90x grad, but couldn't keep up the 75-90 mins/day workouts after the 90 days were over. So, I slipped back into my old…
  • I have a green smoothie daily for breakfast and have for years. It keeps me full until lunch and I look forward to it every day! Here is my basic recipe that serves 2: 1 c. almond milk 1 c. greek yogurt 4 c. (or more) greens (spinach/kale/collard greens) 1 wedge cabbage 10 baby carrots 1 two-inch slice zucchini 1 two-inch…
  • I eat almost exclusively from recipes from this site: http://www.100daysofrealfood.com/ If you put 'lunch' into her search, you will see all her lunch blogs. If you follow her on FB, she posts daily what she packs her kids for lunch. Yes, it's for her kids, but it's 'real' food that all of us can/should eat. She also has…
  • If the time commitment is what's keeping you from doing it daily, then look into p90x3. It packs workouts similar to p90x into daily workouts of 30 minutes. Almost ANYONE can find 30 minutes a day!! Any workout is better than none, but I can't imagine you would do more than maybe maintain your current weight with only…
  • Hello! I'm Yvonne. I'm 45 years old (can't believe that!) and have a 22yo daughter and 20yo son, both in college and out of the house. I live in Mesa, AZ and work in IT in local government. I have an awesome husband who does all my workouts with me :) I have 2 golden retriever/shepherd mixes and also foster puppies for a…
  • Actually, the one thing I've noticed that it DOESN'T measure accurately is the elevation/steps. It's always way off. I climb steps many times each day at work and it always says like '2'. Everything else seems right on.....I know my friend who has the Flex is really happy with it. Hubby and I are also running along with…
  • Accelerator workout today (Week 3 day 1 of the Lean schedule)! I was tempted to skip it but my husband didn't let me :) I'm happy now that he 'made' me do it! Feeling stronger!!!!
  • My husband and I are on day one week 3 of p90x3 Lean schedule. Today's workout was Accelerator and I found it a little bit easier than the past 2 weeks. I was able to finish most exercises to the end. I LOVE this workout series. We are p90x grads and I much prefer p90x 3. I burn just as many (or more) calories during the…
  • I have 2 dogs (golden retriever/german shep mixes) that I run daily with. I had to hire a trainer to help me teach them to heel at my side. I never thought in a million years, they would do it, but they do. I don't even hold the leashes. They are attached to my belt and run at my side the entire time. If they start to get…
  • I use it w/chocolate protein powder smoothies and also add it to brownies. I use it as a topping for vanilla frozen yogurt. I make it and eat it with chocolate graham crackers. I love, love, love peanut butter & chocolate so this is a lower calorie way to get that flavor.
  • I've tried several and the only one that holds my interest and motivates me to do it every day is p90x. It's a different workout every day of the week, so I don't get so bored. Plus, the schedule changes as you move through the program. Some of it seems overwhelming at first when you can't do everything they are doing, but…
  • I did 2 months of JMBR after finishing p90x. Everyone is different, but I just didn't enjoy it. She packs it into roughly 30 minute workouts, which is nice, but it felt very rushed to me and I felt like my form suffered. I was also super disappointed in the 'food plan' because it required SO much cooking for every meal of…
  • You look amazing! What a wonderful transformation --- way to go!
  • Finley and Makena (after Makena Beach in Maui)
  • I recently started jogging too and had the same problem. I went to the Nike outlet and bought a few pairs of running shorts with the built in liner. They are wonderful and I wear them for all my workouts now!
  • What an amazing transformation! Congrats!! I would've never guess you weigh what you do -- you must have a lot of muscle!
  • I don't consider myself in GREAT shape, but I did p90x for 90 days and ran almost daily (5-6x/week). Now I typically do a 30 minute workout on top of a 40 minute run 4-5 times/week. Just listen to your body. If I am feeling super tired, I skip my run. I think you can do it :)
  • I've done both but for me, I would totally do the cruise over Vegas. I despise Vegas. If you do the cruise, you MUST book this outing in Puerto Vallarta. http://www.vallarta-adventures.com/tours/outdoor-adventure It was THE MOST FUN thing I've done anytime, anywhere!!
