  • I haven't been on MFP on my computer in months...thought I'd better check and see if anything had been arranged for meet up/driving in. I was going to take the shuttle too, can't remember if I paid, but I'm too last minute to book my shuttle time. :( I guess I will be #1 on your car pool list, Jennifer. I'll help pay for…
  • I just signed up too, I feel a bit crazy that I'm so excited! I am wanting to be a 'walker zombie' as well for the 1:30 time slot - anyone else in for that or is it beer gardens after the run :drinker:
  • Hello ladies! I've been creeping this group for a while, but have not gotten involved so far. Lost quite a bit at first then plateaued and almost gave up. So this is exactly what I need, a kick in the pants and someone to keep me accountable! I signed myself up and promise to keep working!
  • Has everyone signed up for this already? I'd like to be part of it if you're all still a go. Do you have a team name or are we just registering for the heat?
  • See, I finally got to this on the computer! Yay for zombies - I'm totally in!
  • ...confusing. Kinda like chicken fingers or head cheese. Maybe if it had a different name people wouldn't hate on it so much.
  • OOH! OOH! Pick me to be the one to jam lightning rods up butts - I've been looking for a good stress relief exercise!
  • Single mom of two teenagers in Alberta, feel free to add me as well!
  • Oh wow, sorry to hear that about Paul - hopefully he can get healed up as soon as possible so you can at least enjoy the skiing even though that wasn't the ultimate goal. I think we all feel a bit guilty for 'surviving' when he got taken out and are all cheering for him to get through this!
  • Geez, I can't believe I made it through 5 pages of my worst nightmares in gif form. Actually I am more terrified of being alone in a wide open area (if you're Canadian think some Saskatchewan farmer's field). I am also terrified of open water because things not limited to but including plants and animals might touch any…
  • I'm going to say I'm in - my son is part of a three boy surprise 16th birthday party that day. I have a strong feeling he won't want me anywhere near after I drop him off, but you never know! I will have to sneak in a pic or two, but will definitely be ready for an adult beverage after that!
  • okay, had to come back to complain about cebiginalaska... Now I REALLY want to try me some Spicy Grandma.
  • I'm from Alberta - Airdrie! Feel free to add me!
  • Official '*****' thread? Okay, I'll hang out for a minute - I wish I was wired to only have a taste of something and be satisfied instead of making a pig of myself. I wish people would grab a sense of humour or if you don't understand something just let it go instead of always being 'right'. Thanks! I needed that, back to…
  • Hard to say because I'm not in that position right now, but I think that I would rather not be able to make my own decision. I am of the opinion that you never know how your life affects others - I'm a fighter and would fight to the end. That said, if you asked me after a significant period of a particularly painful…
  • Not only am I in because of corn dogs, but I want to be here when the horn dogs come back. Because I understand sarcasm and embrace it kind of like I embrace corn dogs. I have no idea what I'm saying anymore, carry on...
  • Toyota is better in the long run. I did a lot of research when I was looking and generally American cars are cheaper up front but when they break down they break down GOOD. Most imports are more expensive because they last so much longer with regular upkeep.
  • ^^^This. Absoutely. I like the way you think - this is the only way to deal with everyone. And I understand your rant, OP. Unfortunately free lunches at work always cause more discord than unity.
  • Why would you make anyone choose? Is this a life or death situation? Does someone get thrown into a mulcher if I don't choose? Dammit, I can't. I quit.
  • On this site: "honestly" - because if you ask me something and in that question demand that I be honest I will almost always change my answer. In real life: moist
  • I'm not in Red Deer, I'm in Airdrie so I can't take walks with you, but I'd be happy to be your friend!
  • Planet of the Apes meets *kitten* meets The Walking Dead (I know, not a movie) meets Liar Liar. Now I'm trying to think of why I even married him. Dang, now I'm even more depressed. Stupid chit-chat, fun and games...
  • Yes, this has been me... As far as sleeping where I want, that has gotten old already. I'd prefer to fight over the sheets!
  • I think I may have dated THAT guy...
  • Nope, but if anyone does can you please introduce me?
  • I've learned the hard way to just ignore speed for now! Work on endurance first and don't worry about being able to smoke everyone on your first 5k  Once you know you can run for 5k straight, then you can move on to interval training which helps build up your speed. Strength training will help as well, and another…
  • I don't eat sandwiches very often (too much bread for me!) but I love wraps when I can fit in some carbs. And my kids' new favorite is pesto, chicken and cheese (swiss for my son, sun dried tomato havarti for my daughter!). My son also is a big fan of the grilled peanut butter and cheese variety as well as his latest…
  • It's definitely worth it to giggle - get those when you can! And although I'm super good around my kids, those who know me best know that when there's no chance they'll hear I complain with the best of them!
  • I think it's harder for the kids if they don't see each parent regularly - that said, my ex has been in jail for the last 8 years, has not been in our lives for almost 9 and we've been divorced for 10 years. During that first year he had 'no money' and no fixed address (except for 3 months at the worst apartment I've ever…
  • Apparently according to most posts today, a snack involving a cat will solve that issue.
