Twinkies . . . duh!

Dang! Why didn't I put that as one of my goals?! Smokin' cougar! Me likes. Hangry . . . that's awesome. That describes me perfectly when I'm really hungry . . . C25K last night at the gym - my shins were hating me. The rest of me could've run a lot more . . . must figure out how to keep the shins happy…

I tried to "White Fang" my husband from the kitchen last night . . . I stomped at him and everything

THANK YOU!!! Any insight at all is helpful and much appreciated.

There's a rather LARGE post from one on here . . . interestingly enough, their diary is not public. Hmmmmmm . . .
-
Shining example of doing it your way and having INCREDIBLE SUCCESS! P.S. You're awesome.

I'm with you, OP. No one has made any negative comments on my diary . . . yet. But I know it would probably irk me too if they did. I do the best I can with the time and budget (both financial and caloric) I have, but I have a love affair with food. I will not sacrifice the enjoyment of it. I manage to stay within my…

There always is . . .

It looks like you may have gotten some "sass" back as well as your muscles! Awesome!

Why is there one on every thread??

My comment is just related to what I found in the article - results based on a Duke University study. I'm all for strength-training, caloric control, and tracking macros. Here's a link to the Duke study, just in case anyone is interested.…

P.S - Before I am verbally assulted; I am in NO WAY suggesting that you not do strength-training. I do both strength and cardio to build/retain muscle and lose fat. I just found the article interesting and helpful.

Literally JUST read this on webmd - title says belly fat, but it's really about fat in general. Apparently 30 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity 4x a week is recommended for reducing visceral fat (the kind that sits around organs). Strength training only helps with the "surface" fat. High fiber (10g or more/day) and 6-7…

Debbie, I thought of you and your neck issues last night. I have chronic problems do to multiple cases of whip lash and concusions over the years (not all car accidents - I'm just clumsy). Anyway, after getting rearended a couple years ago I started seeing a chiropractor on a regular basis. He helped A LOT, and…

I did manage to attain my personal goal for this past week - it was to keep sodium "in check" at least 5 out of 7 days. I did 6!

Morning all - I had a restless night and was really grumpy this morning. Todd's technigue for dealing with grumpy wife? "Poke it with a stick and see just how much more we can aggravate it!" He's a pill. Still somewhat giddy from his successful game day, I imagine. I officially completed stage 1 of NROL4W…

48 days 251 minutes/1714 calories minimum 8 glasses of water a day Personal goal of watching sodium - under 2500 6 out 7 days  We ate out this evening after Todd's baseball game so that pretty much destroyed the sodium levels. But, I probably sweat out at least half of it and drank enough water to flush the rest!…
-
^^^^^ I did a lot of clapping, drank 86 oz of fluid, sweat about 160 oz of fluid, and got a sunburn. But I was super proud of Todd - can't wait for the next game!

You couldn't be more right - good for you and congrats on your continued success!

My BMR is 1328 according to F2F, putting the sedentary "slimmer" me at 1600-ish maintenance. Currently trying to hit 1550 daily, eating back exercise cals to at least hit BMR (most days). The active slim me is supposed to get 2080 cals/day which sounded like a lot, especially since I didn't truly become a regularly active…

Perhaps, but going strictly deficit versus some kind of strength-training you'll likely be losing muscle mass as well . . . and eventhough, yes, everyone is entitled to express their opinions, it doesn't change the fact that yours seem to be rude and "confrontational".
-
This is meant to be a helpful thread - no need make obnoxious comments. I think the intent was to specify the most beneficial TYPE of exercise one should be doing.
-
Agreed - not cool. But I went to the pics on your profile and you look incredible. Well done!
-
Incredible!! So happy for your success and new found health!

I logged in day 45 as of yesterday - water is going well, exercise minutes . . . meh. Definitely feeling "off" this week. Just can't get in the right mind-set. Pre-occupied with happenings of the next few days . . . I should be somewhere around 180 after tonight - depending on how long my "as many reps as possible" take.…

I've lost an average newborn with a little more than the average 2-year old to go . . . I'm a little disturbed that my acheivement and goal both seem to involve losing children . . .
