Hey everybody!! I used mfp a few years ago, and got dialed right in, but then work and life got in the way and I fell off the wagon a bit so to speak. Trying to get back into this thing, and would love more friends and support from anyone and everyone!!! Okay, bonus if you're Canadian!!

Awesome! Thanks for that... anyone else have any input? Is it myth or truth that a diet higher in fat content (whether that be saturated or unsaturated fats) contributes more, less or the same to ultimate Body Fat content? (assuming already that I am eating at a caloric deficit) Thanks

I personally like working out in the mornings. It does take some doing and no question it's hard, but it's worth it. A) it starts my day out great B) I find the same problem of busy and unpredictable evenings C) nice to get it out of the way It's usually hard for the first 3 to 5 mornings, but when I do get into the habit,…

I love my Kettlebells. I highly suggest you goto someone who is certified (ie Agatsu) and get proper movements down so you can safely perform the movements. It`s somewhat easy to just wildly swing the things, but using proper form (as everything in exercise) is not only important for results but more-so to prevent…

Tuna Omelette? I'm not chef, so I just use 1 whole egg 1/2 cup liquid egg whites 1 can of flaked low sodium tuna Throw a bit of pepper or Mrs. Dash on there and bob's your uncle.

I find 1%, 2% contains too much salt, so I prefer the Dry Curd. Gross on it's own, so I mix it with 0% Plain Greek Yogurt and mix in my protein powder. Perfect night snack.

+1 So good.

I preplan for sure, it's pretty much the only way I stay on point. Not only on the standpoint of total calories, but especially for hitting my macros.

My general fun rule of thumb... you need more colour in your diet! Fruits, Veggies. Not just the green ones, but the red ones (beets, radishes, raspberries, apples), yellow (lemons, yellow bell peppers), orange (carrots, oranges), etc. For lean proteins, fish is another great option.

Thanks for the suggestions guys!! I think I'll try signaling an end to my meal, but I'm going to keep in mind all your suggestions. It could be anything!! Frustrating at the very least.

For me, it's about being goal oriented. If you are looking to run, have a goal... like look for a race maybe start with a 5K and plan for it! I didn't do this, but I hear a lot of people here do the C25k program. Or maybe join a local running club with your goal in mind. The main thing is to have a goal. Something to work…

I personally use The Extreme Kettlebell Cardio Workout by Keith Weber. Outstanding workout.

This hits home for me.... As an ex-smoker, re-smoker, social smoker, and non (2-3 a week) smoker, I can speak from first hand experience. It's obvious that nicotine as an addictive substance doesn't have a hold on you, so you have to ask yourself why you feel the need to smoke then, even if it's so infrequently as 2-3 a…

I'm not doing insanity right now, but I am an alumni... I loved it! I did the program pretty much exactly as designed and my cardio was the best it's ever been. Good luck, and stick with it!

I'm a big fan of putting frozen berries and chia seeds in my shakes. Having said that I've gone to making full on raw veggie smoothies too.

I just went to the boxwood cafe ... super delicious, home-style healthy clean eats. local ingredient and community focused. highly recommended!

I added my own exercise like that guy above said... but I would suggest a getting a HRM. It actually blew me away how high my heart rate was and how many calories I was burning.

I'm with everyone on the cooking for myself... But when I'm in town, I usually like to treat myself so I'd go do: Japanese food - sashimi Original Joe's - a) all their nutritional info is on their website with suggestions, b) they go out of their way to make healthier options on request like baked and unseasoned salmon, or…
