Body Fat % Goals, Macros to match
So as opposed to "weight loss" goals, I have BF% goals. Hoping to get into the 10-13% area. My last caliper measurement was last year and came in at 21.74% My feeling is I'm lower than that at this point, but I haven't been measured since. Realizing that there are a number of factors that contribute to the ultimate result,…

overthinking dry measurements (protien)
OK, I may be over thinking this, but: According to my protien powder label (doesn't matter which one), one serving is 33g and is one scoop. However, when I look on the scoop, it shows 70cc. When I look up conversion charts, 70cc is equivalent to 70ml which is also equal to 70g. Have I been drinking twice the protein that…

MFP default calorie burn for strength training accuracy?
I've been using the default MFP calorie burn for "strength training (weight lifting, weight training)", pegs me at 225 calories per hour. Who wants to wear a HRM strap while lifting weights, I figure?! But today, I wanted to lift some weights, and then run... so I thought I'd test out the number by strapping on my HRM to…

FACT OR FICTION: Crockpots and Slow Cookers
Someone once told me that crockpots and slow cookers basically cook all the vitamins and minerals and other such healthy content from the food. Fact or fiction? I've stayed away from them for that reason, but it seems like a very convenient and relatively healthy way (depending on what you throw in there) of cooking.

Tips and Tricks Needed: PORTION CONTROL!
One of my major weakenesses (right ahead of potato chips and chocolate), is portion control. I figure it's because I grew up the youngest child, so I'm just used to eating everything else left on the table!! lol Anyways, I can't seem to eat a proper portion. With the number of calories I do tend to burn in a day, I would…

I am new and charged up!
Hello All, I was out looking for a generic calorie counter for my new Android phone, and found this... to my surpise, it is a) the best calorie counter I've found, and b) the community seems to be active and in line with my goals, thoughts, and ideas about fitness. For instance, I'm on day 7 of my 60 day Insanity run, and…
