It's only the most delicious thing ever. I am not making any claims about it helping promote weight loss as some have said. I just think it is delicious.

Come again? Do you put butter in your coffee? I guess it's made from cream.0

I read about this in a nonfiction tale about a guy that escaped from a gulag. It sounded vile then too. For curiosities sake: salted or unsalted?0
-
Unsalted.
I guess it was started by this guy.

IF you think butter is awesome, add some coconut oil too! Divine! Plus, it helps keep me full until lunch.0

I feel like it would make my coffee kind of oily.0

Word. Coconut oil in coffee is yummy.0 -
It sounds weird, but I'm kind of intrigued.0

I wanted all of it for myself and didn't want you to know about it!0

All I can think of is Andrew Zimmern in Ethiopia.0

I used to do this. It's pretty amazing. I certainly did lose weight during my paleo days...0

Butter coffee is awesome...the downside for me was skyrocketing LDL levels. I can't say for sure that the coffee caused it but I eat very little fat otherwise...It is really good with scoop of protein powder blended in.0

Haha, me too. No gallbladder = the poops with anything oily.0 -
I save my butter intake for seafood, homemade bread and cookies. :happy:0

Yup it's called bulletproof coffee and many people swear by it when it comes to getting some much needed energy or keeping you full until your next meal.0

**** that bulletproof guy. Scam.0

It took a while to overcome the squick factor, but damn that is some good stuff. I whip mine up with butter, coconut oil and a bit of pure cocoa powder in my Nutribullet. It comes out like a frothy chocolatey dream!! Great right before lifting.0

I used to put coconut oil in my coffee and blend it in the blender. It made it more creamy instead of oily. Was really good! I don't really like coffee too much, but that definitely helped the flavor. I felt like I had a ton more energy after drinking it, more so than with just regular coffee.0

could someone actually explain this? I have never heard of it - I drink my coffee black no sugar but once in a while I crave one with some added flavor0

Bulletproof coffee is the BOMB! I add one tablespoon of unsalted Kerrygold butter (you can literally taste the difference between grass-fed butter and regular butter) and one tablespoon of NOW Sports MCT oil (even more health benefits than coconut oil, which is a form of MCT oil) to my coffee (which already has cream, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, and Da Vinci SF syrup - usually English Toffee or Eggnog flavor).
The most important part of making good bulletproof coffee is to BLEND it, not mix it. If you mix it, you'll end up with a greasy, oily mess. If you blend it (I use a Magic Bullet for this step), you'll get a frothy, foamy latte.
Bulletproof coffee has put me into an even deeper state of ketosis and has helped me lose a bit of extra weight as well. I know tons of low-carbers who SWEAR by it and insist it is the main reason they have lost so much weight so quickly. Everyone's body is different, but BP coffee is definitely worth a shot.0 -
Whip together Coffee, Fit Frappe and a tablespoon of coconut oil. Filling and sustaining.0
