Sounds so good, thank you!

You are gaining weight because you are not eating enough. Seriously. Use the Search function on here and search 'eating more to lose weight' or something along those lines. I don't exercise much, and I gain weight eating 1200 calories or less a day. But I LOSE weight eating 1400-1500 without exercise. With exercise, I…

I have soo enjoyed reading these! Great thread OP! Though I am sorry about some of your all's dates. And I agree that the dead dog one wins!

Not at all! It's just a basic calculation and most of the time our bodies (and diets) are not consistent or predictable enough for it to be correct.

Yum!

These all look great! Thank you!

Sounds delicious! Thank you!

I was thinking the same thing and was wondering if anyone else had taken a look before replying. OP, you are doing well staying in your calories but pay attention to WHAT you are eating as well. I just see a lot of chocolate, pop tarts, pastries, lattes, chips, cookies, fried food, fast food, etc. No fruits or vegetables.…

Here we go again...

I posted about this on facebook a few days ago. It is absolutely ridiculous and I think that doctor should have his license revoked immediately! It absolutely burns me up!

You can eat any time of day. Just stay within your calorie goals.

I didn't read all the replies but this had been happening to me consistently before I realized that because the days I wasn't super strict, I was eating enough calories. It was over my goal set by mfp but my goal set by mfp originally was too little apparently. So now I have upped my overall intake and the weight has…

Wow, I'm a vegetarian and am going to try a lot of these ideas!

I agree in that you are eating way too little and that will cause you to gain in the long run! My advice would be to set your weight loss goal for .5 to 1 lb a week. Then eat the number of calories MFP tells you to eat (not hundreds of calories below!) and see what happens. For me, MFP set my goal at 1200 calories a day…

That doesn't sound good at all =/

The most logged I have is a little shy of 1600.
-
Then up your calories by 100 and stay right below? It's all a mind game.

I would not worry about BMI. It is a guide, dated, and does not take into account different builds and body types. There are so many flaws with it really so I would not obsess over it.

Agree! The whole point of the site is ACCURATELY tracking what you're eating. This is often done by weighing or measuring out portion sizes. Not sure why people have to be mean when others are trying to improve themselves...

Thanks!

It definitely looks like you are not eating enough. I only looked back a few days but your net calories are often very low. Say you eat 1400 calories a day and burn 800 exercising. You are leaving your body only 600 calories to function on and stay alive. Your body probably needs over 1200 calories to just function, so by…

Sounds great, thank you!

Sound good!!

Why lie? I guess I don't understand the point of lying in your own journal?

I agree with the above posters in that you are trying to get to an unhealthy weight. I am not a fan of BMI but for what it's worth, 120 pounds at your height is underweight.

Maybe open your diary so we can better help??
