The problem with classes is they aren't designed for people with knee problems. Peer pressure or the zombie following of the instructor will have you do a move that you shouldn't be doing. I do not do any lateral movements in the gym. I hate, hate, hate going on the machines but I have learned to live with them. We have…

If theres areas you want to work on specifically then weights do help. You may not notice the changes but they are there, I dont really see a difference in myself until I look at old pictures. Good luck.

Congratulations.... the forums demand b4 pics with such a dramatic loss!

I have a few nicer pieces of clothing but I find myself to be more comfortable in the hobo look. I rock out my walmart stretchy pants and a t-shirt 6-7 days a week.

It is proven the more often you weigh yourself the more likely you will be to lose more weight. Dieters, step on your scales! (DAILY) By Rosie Mestel, LATimes.com Sure it does, say many weight loss experts. Weighing yourself is a clear way to monitor progress or catch (and nip in the bud) a slow, steady uptick in lardage.…

I do not trust my own body. It tells me to eat all the time.... I am hungry right now lol. I dont have underlying reasons for eating I just love food. I love the pastas, cheeses and meats. I also love the high calorie snacks. You should not listen to your body especially before you go to bed. If you feel hungry within 2…

Unless your doing it for your workout I wouldnt count it. Think of it as extra going towards your loss. If you feel like you need to count it get a HRM, if thats not an option then Id put it as walking at slow pace 2.0 for only the duration you were actually dancing.

Ive hit 3-4 plateaus but you just continue on trucking through. Increase intensity and weight. Usually what happens after a 2-3 week plateau is I will all of a sudden lose 4 lbs in a week.

I split up my songs, when I am lifting weights I listen to country and oldies. When I am doing cardio I do rock/rap/grudge metalish crap. Favourite cardio song: The Pretender by Foo Fighters

If it had BBQ sauce on it, I think its more like 1500.

Congratulations on your sucess keep it up. I was thinking the other day about the wifes weight loss and mine and we have lost more weight then our 3 children combined. You could say you have lost 3 small children.

I usually only take a rest day if my body requires it. If your body is hurting the day after a workout, its telling you something. If your legs hurt dont run. If your arms hurt dont lift. If your back hurts dont do anything :)

Make sure you get tons of before pictures I wanna see you in 78 lbs :)

On a lot of posts I see people say you dont look like the same person this is one of the few I would have to agree with

I only rest when I am injured or dont have time. I dont plan really to cheat or rest but I both frequently. I probably have one of the highest daily averages of calories consumed on this site but I burn a lot too.

The max weight for my healthy range is 205, I dont think that suits my body type but I am looking forward to 1 day just being overweight. Congrats!

The bigger muscle in your arm is your tricep work on that more than you would your bicep. If you dont have access to a gym you can do tricep dips. If you do have access there are a variety of different activities you can do. I personally prefer tricep pull down. http://www.bodybuilding.com/exercises/ There are arm…

After I reach my first major goal I am going for 100. What's your age range... 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's..? Male or female? Male 20s Did you choose 1 pound a week, 1.5 pounds a week, 2 pounds a week, or some custom amount? I set mine to 0. I know I have to be below by 1000 to lose 2 lbs a week but on days where I…

It is a proven fact that people who check the scale on a daily basis lose more weight. I on the other take that to a new level weighing myself several times a day. I like to weigh myself before going to the gym to see how I am doing on the day. I can usually tell within .4lbs what I will weigh in the morning based on what…

I make my goals realistic and long term. My primary goal is to never go over 300 again. I would like to get down to my pre-kid weight ( I am male but very sympathetic apparently ) I want to be able to play like I know I can in rugby. I dont want to use time or injuries as an excuse. I want to be more energetic for my kids.…
