I have been struggling with everything that has been mentioned here. I had my complete hysterectomy with ovaries removed March 2011. Ever since then, I have continued to gain weight. Doctor put me on premarin, I felt it was doing nothing, saw a naturopath who took me off of it a few months ago. I have been using…

Could I join? 163 up a couple of pounds, I know it is fluids. Went to the gym and burned some serious calories today! Hoping to keep it up all week for next week's weigh in!

How's everyone doing? I've come down with a bug of some kind. So even though I feel terrible, I'm still making sure to get some kind of activity in, definitely not much of an appetite, but I think that goes with the territory at the moment. My scale is now moving, which has me thinking it is to do with not eating carbs and…

I've now reduced my sodium to 1500. I'm hoping by tweaking things that are hidden problems, will help with creating a balance and that confidence and lifting weights will help getting things to move.

Hi ladies! Well I'm at my top 172.5 the most I've ever gotten down to is 166 and that's it. Today it is back to 172.5  I just don't know anymore. I've been at this for about a year or so, I started here on MFP about 100 days ago. I've gained insight on things like reducing my sodium (which I have done from 2500…

Thank you for sharing your experiences. I have just increased my food intake from 1200 to 1400 calories (that's what MFP suggested) so we will see how that goes. Thank you for the link I will definitely check that out. I really hope that things will start to change.

Thank you for sharing such a personal journey and private moments of difficulty. I struggle with the mirror as well and I hear the negative words all to often. Where do you work out? In the beginning you said the YMCA. Has your doctor been monitoring you all this time :). Did any of your medications (i.e. if you had…

Well I'm willing to give it a try. My calculations work out to 1867 per day based on a light activity of 1 to 3 times per week of exercise. My problem is mentally convincing myself this is ok to do. I have come to realize I subconsciously eat less and I have to really pin myself down to eat more.

I would use the link above and input your own personal calculations. I just started my first day of Be Fit its a toughie, and so I just modified stuff, which when I was really fit, I never had to do. But I will continue!

I have had an ED for so long but I've kept her locked up for a long time. I have always "looked" like my body was fine, I always "looked" put together. I have just recently started to "out" my anorexia and let me tell you, I was so topsy turvy with nerves and flip flopping last night as I had written in my blog post about…

Ok, can you explain this to me please!? I am having the same trouble as the OP and I don't know what to do anymore either. I did some research and it was suggested I take my weight and multiply it by 10 which would give you your caloric intake. My question is this: my weight is 171.5 x *10 - 1710 calories, How does this…

I'm Class 2 Bipolar, so I would go through periods of "high" like mood swings, then suddenly deplete to depression. I've only been diagnosed about a year ago. Apparently my technical diagnosis is Borderline Personality Disorder - with traits of Bipolar, the whole thing is under one umbrella. I've suffered with chronic…

I agree! and yes I will be your friend. I have struggles just like everyone else, and the more support we have for one another, the better we will be in achieving our goals.

You just described me to a tee! The one thing I keep doing regardless is logging in everyday. I don't know what it is, but coming here, and reading and posting my food intake, being able to see what is actually being consumed does help me to realize I still am struggling with food intake. Then there is a day like to day…

I admit, I have been struggling with my weight loss - dealing with menopause weight is really hard! BUT I did do a full hour of exercise last week walking my dog around the park - it worked out to 3 miles! It was a personal best that I did in an hour Woot Woot! This week I am wanting to do it again!! I know I took him for…

When I run on my treadmill, I use the calculations the system has worked out for me, and it is always higher than what MFP has down as the calories burned by at least 30 points!

I agree!

I bet you will get there!! WTG on your weight loss :)

How many days has she been bleeding? Dogs go through about a 21 day heat cycle. Would this be her first or second heat? As for bathing, that is fine. I agree with the other poster who mentioned about the doggie panties. That's what I put my female in when she had her first heat. They have some very cute ones if you are…

I have been wondering about these two programs for a long time now. I have done Curves and Weight Watchers, but I have found that by just logging every day on MFP, it has been teaching me about what types of food causes what type of gain. The biggest thing I have learned however, is that I don't eat enough!! Which for me…
