Awesome! I have 3 black bags full of clothes that are too big for me - I will donate them once I hit my goal! I didn't want to buy anything until I got to my goal, but I've bought a pair of jeans as ALL my others are way too big on me0

Isn't it the most amazing feeling wearing a size you haven't worn in years? The last pair of pants I bought before starting mfp last July were a 28, I now wear a 16. Every day as I'm about to slide them on I pause, look at them, and marvel that I am actually going to be wearing them. They look way smaller than the image I see in the mirror. Congratulations on those 14s. I can' t wait!:drinker: Cheers!0

Fantastic - always a nice feeling0

Awesome! I'm saving my 20s (US) as a reminder of where I came from. I don't want to ever go back there, so having them hanging in my closet for me to see regularly has helped. For now, I shrink out of things too quickly to justify spending the money on a new wardrobe, so I buy one or two shirts/pants when i hit a new size0

BLOODY BRILLIANT!!! that must be such an amazing feeling. well done chick!0

Great news!
Personally, I've saved my very biggest jeans. They're sitting in the wardrobe, and will come out to be worn again when I reach my goal weight.0 -

I didn't want to buy new stuff until I was at my goal weight but I think sometimes there needs to be an interim step, wearing clothes that are way to big does us no favours, I was so pleased with getting smaller clothes and I look much better in them to0 -
That's fantastic! I keep a pair of my biggest jeans for the times when I feel demotivated. I put them on and realise how much I've lost, it makes me feel better.0

Congratulations - keep it up.0

That's fabulous! I had the same "no way" attitude for a while. I was an 18W at my largest (UK size 20 or 22 I think). About a month ago, I was still wearing them though they were literally falling off. I was painting my bedroom in them when they fell completely off me (buttoned). I went to buy clothes and was a size 14 regular (UK size 16). I'm now a 12/14, but that feeling was amazing. Get rid of your fat clothes but keep one pair of pants just so you can see how far you've come!
You should donate them if possible also instead of throwing them out entirely.0 -
Congrats!!! That is awesome!0

It's a terrific feeling, isn't it? I'm fitting in 34 waist shorts after stretching out 40 waist clothes for the last 2 years. I couldn't believe it.0

Fabulous news!!
Last week I went to a bridal shower, and didn't have any suitable clothes to wear--just jeans and t-shirts (or so I thought).
I was thrilled to find a size 16 pair of black dress pants that fit, tucked in the back of a drawer from several years ago. I hope these get me through any invitations for a few months because I'm really fighting the idea of buying a ton of interim clothes.0 -

What a fun post to read! You must be thrilled! Keep it up!!! I have a pile to go to Goodwill, and take a pile there every 2-3 weeks. I don't want the fat clothes in my home anymore!0

Congrats!! I have a bunch of too big clothes too, but I can't bring myself to get rid of them yet!! Luckily for me my mom is starting to lose weight and she's about 2 sizes behind me, so everytime something gets to big for me it's fitting her just right!! Now if only I could talk her into buying me new stuff since she gets all my hand me downs!! jk0

That is wonderful. I have a "retired" pile. As they get too big I throw them up on a shelf in the laundry room, then I give them to my mom when she comes up. I am getting to the point where I have more and more in the "retired" pile, and less and less in my closet. I just mentioned to my partner I will have to go out and buy new work out clothes because I am starting to have to try and keep them up as I go on my runs.
