  • @tiabirdie56 thanks for the link. I woke up exhausted, which is rare. I'm very much a morning person. I added some salt to my water this morning and it helped. I'll try the electrolyte drink.

  • Hi all. I posted yesterdays results stats, but only the top half of my posts appears. I tried again today and have the same issue. Can someone tell me how to resolve this? I'm not new to MFP but am fairly new to forums. I'm trying to post through the app. I'm never in front of a computer - other than at work. Assuming I…

  • New here and excited for a manageable challenge! I've gained 20# through menopause and ready to shed it and feel great again!! F/57/5'6" SW: 183.4 GWR42: 180 GW: 165 Plan - Keto, 7k steps, 64oz water - 70% (7 of 10 days) Workouts - CrossFit, yoga, circuit training 5/28/183.4/ouch! I've avoided the scale for a while.
  • Hello all! I love the concept of this group. I missed round 41, but plan to join for 42. I'll search the forums for it tomorrow! I am also starting keto tomorrow. I've let way too much sugar and processed food sneak back into my diet.
  • Thanks for the suggestions. There are just so many to pick from! I never heard of Ice Cream Fitness before, but googled it and really like it because of the assessor work. But, I also really need to work on power cleans. Wendler looks idiot proof as far as starting weight and increases. I prepared a comparison spreadsheet…
  • Nicely done!! I've gotten belly to the wall but not nose. It's just a fear thing for me!
  • Today is my boot camp do, so no CF. I do know today's WOD must have involved box jumps because I saw a bloody shin picture on Facebook. If I ever actually miss, I may never jump again. :noway:
  • You should be able to find it at any major sports store or running store. Where I live Sports Academy, ****s, and all the running stores carry Glide or some form of it.
  • Anitra is the expert here, and I'm no where near finding my sweet spot. The only thing jumped out at me is 5-6 hours of strenuous exercise. I CF 5x/wk and, while I am at the gym for an hour, at my place the warm up (usually an 800m run, air squats, duck walks, etc) and the skill (lift practicing) take about 30-40 minutes.…
  • ^^Missing, falling, and breaking something!!!! I do step-ups when my brain completely freezes, which thankfully is often. I also hear coaches yelling "Stop stepping, you can jump!" The mind is a funny thing. I know I can jump, I have hundreds of times and never missed. Still, every now and then I rock back on my heels,…
  • I've worn my HRM a few times just to get an idea. Our workouts vary a lot. The past two days were: Yesterday: Warmup 400m run, 15 toe touches, 15 air squats, 15 pushups, 15 shoulder dislocators, 15 overhead squats w/PVC Skill: 3-3-3-3-3 push press as heavy as possible WOD: For time - 800m run, Grace, 800m run (19 min) 68…
  • Yep, I get Crossfit Butt Rash every time we more than a few situps. The shower after brings tears to my eyes. I just started using Glide on my bum. It's made for runners to prevent friction/chaffing (i.e. bloody nipples, chub rub thigh rash). It looks like a stick deodorant. Works wonders! The first time I did Annie…
  • ^^^THIS made all the difference for me. I'm almost always dead last and when I'm not it's because I scaled my weight too low. I use an app called MyWod to keep up with my PRs and WOD stats. I loving seeing that I'm doing 18 burpees in a minute when I used to only do 10, etc. That number, when compared to others at my box,…
  • I try to do this on a regular basis, but on the two days mentioned, I would have honestly puked it right back up. I'm still working every WOD to find my limit and go just a little past it. We yell time as soon as we finish the last rep of any "for time" WOD....usually on the way to the supine position.…
  • Owwwieee! Sorry you were hurt. I've seen some bloody shins from box bites! My near miss was in the last few seconds of a timed WOD. It scared the coach and he yelled "just step up." I knew if I didn't jump at least one more time right then, I would never get back on that horse! My daughter saw that next jump and said I…
  • I've only been doing CF since April and I'm still learning my limits, by going past them and falling short. I've had two WOD where I probably pushed too hard - almost vomited, didn't even look at the clock much less call time, couldn't eat and was shaky for hours after. I've also had a few WODs where I underestimated my…
  • This is the very reason my gym doesn't post WODs in advance. The best WOD you'll ever do is the one you thought you couldn't!!
  • Wish I had some of those women at my gym. I could have birthed everyone there. Quite inspirational!!
  • Pull-ups! I'll get them or die trying. My biggest hurdle is grip strength.
  • I can only push press about half of my bodyweight and I can do scaled HSPU. We do them against the wall and with a kip so momentum and core strength assist. I stack 2 - 15# plates under my head so I don't have to drop down so far. I'm improving, but slowly. Been doing them off and on for 3 months and just now dropped down…
  • Today was either the hardest WOD I've done, or my body just wasn't feeling it. 100 Kettlebell swings 35# 80 Burpees 60 Thrusters 45# 30 seconds on - 30 seconds off. I was 16 thrusters short when I hit the time cap of 25min. I almost cried and almost puked   but I didn't give up!!! Some days that all I can hope…
