I use a combination of Plant Fusion Chocolate protein powder and hemp protein. I like them both.

Hi hear ya! I have to say I hate stretching and have to force myself to do it -- and I'm totally inflexible. My instructor has us put our thumb in the crease of our but cheek to help us push our hips forward to get more of a stretch. I only can see a difference if I am really dedicated to stretching every day. When I don't…

I've had decent results from doing a hip flexor lunge stretch like the one at http://www.fitsugar.com/Stretch-Hip-Flexor-Lunge-766938. I need to do it more often though!! Good luck!

I'm a little late to the party, but I'll join in the planking fun. I'll start today and I'll just have to end later than everyone else.

Congrats IronKitty!

I'm interested!

I can't wait to try this recipe! Thanks for sharing!

I like PlantFusion in chocolate flavor (21g protein/scoop) and I also use hemp protein (unflavored; 15g protein/3tbsp).

Stretch everyday. This has been a difficult habit for me to build.

If you can find almonds cheaper anywhere (I get mine at Costco), the one cup almonds/2 cups milk makes more of a cream than a milk. I get 6-8 cups of almond milk by adding water to the original two cups when I'm done. You can also use the left over almond meal in foods. It turned out to be quite a bit less expensive than I…

I love mine! They offer good support and are very flattering. They run true to size, but I will say that one of mine is tighter/smaller than the other although both fit.

Add more calorie dense foods like peanut (or other nut) butter, nuts, avocados, etc.

I have the same problems and, like you, feel I eat a healthy diet and I do a lot of physical activity. I've tried to cut back on my fiber (I average in the high 50's-60's g everyday) and swapping foods that have more insoluble fiber vs. soluble fiber. I'm also dairy free, but recently learned how to make yogurt from…

Coconut oil is also excellent applied topically. I use it as my moisturizer after I get out of the shower and also slather my hair in it and leave it in a bun over night the night before I wash my hair. It's greatly improved both my skin and hair.

Wow! You look awesome!

There are a number of alternatives besides soy, including hemp, almond, and coconut milks. I use almond and coconut regularly.

I feel your pain. I'm interested to see everyone's responses. My knees are perpetually bruised. I get less bruised other places (feet, shoulders) but my knees won't quit.

Hemp has a lot of iron. One serving of hemp hearts (3 tbsp) have 20% of the rda of iron. One serving of the hemp protein powder I use has 40% of the rda. The hemp hearts are great in cereal or on salads. The protein powder is great for smoothies. I hope that helps!

Too much! My 14yo TB causes me a lot of stress too. The ups and the downs!
-
Me too! That or riding my horse, but I have to do something!

Almond and coconut milks are great milk substitutes. If you're still trying to up your protein intake and don't mind using a powder, hemp protein is great and very high in iron. Nutritional yeast can provide your vitamin B12. Good luck.

What kind of protein are you using?

Good to see other supportive people replying to the FB post! Just try not to let the original post bother you (I know easier said than done).

Thanks! This is just what I needed!

This onion cutting thing is a myth that has been circulating around the internet (http://www.snopes.com/food/tainted/cutonions.asp). Feel free to continue cutting onions -- it's fine. Edited to say I just saw that themoonmuse beat me to this!

The hemp protein powder I use has a good deal of iron: Nutiva Organic Hemp Protein -- 40% daily recommended value

I have cystic acne-prone skin and rosacea. I have tried EVERYTHING. The single best thing I did was stop eating dairy products of any kind. It turns out I do have a dairy allergy anyway, but that made the biggest difference in my skin. You could try it -- you should notice a difference in about a month if it is going to…

I ride too although a little less than I used to. Good to see so many horse people here! To the OP: I find that yoga really helps with my riding, especially if I practice more than once a week.
