Question for those of you who do your insanity as soon as you wake up... What do you eat and or drink right before your workout? I'm looking for something that is quick to prepare and eat, and will be easy to digest. Thanks!

Thank you much! :flowerforyou:

Thanks!

I have not gotten my packet yet, but should be getting it any day now. Can anyone expand on what the diet is like?

My hubby and I are starting Insanity on Wednesday! I can't wait. Question...we're planning on doing this first thing in the morning in our living room. We have carpet in our living room. Will this be difficult to do on carpet? Thanks!

Thank you for your response. Yes, I was referring to zero carbohydrates, not zero calorie.

I think it also depends what type of gym or workout facility you plan to work in. Some facilities are really image conscience, I think it would be harder to be overweight and work in a facility like that. It also depends on your clientele, if you're training someone who's goal is to lose a lot of weight, you could be a…

I've had Crohn's for about 18 years. I TOTALLY agree that everyone is different and get so sick of the, "oh, just do this diet...it totally cured my Crohn's!" Some foods that I find are both "diet" and "crohn's" friendly are: Yogurt, brown rice, whole-wheat pasta, bananas, string cheese, triscut crackers, cottage…

I can't afford the calories...thus the slow weight loss...thus the need for the challange.

Just make sure that you measure out how much you're drinking and account for the calories. If you stay within your calorie allotment you can still lose weight and drink wine.

I couldn't agree more with everything that you said!
-
I agree....plus drink a ton of water to flush out extra sodium and get back on track.

Are you able to pull up the restaurant's menu online before you go? I find this to be helpful because I usually look up the calories and decide what to have before I'm even hungry. Then when I'm at the restaurant I don't even look at the other options, so as to not be tempted. Be strong!

I agree with the psyllium husk powder recommendation. Although, make sure you drink a TON of water with it. If you don't drink enough water with it will actually bind up you!

Too funny! Whatever it takes, right? When I get something like that at work it usually goes straight into the trash.

I’m pretty sure this falls under the category of “Too good to be true.” Sorry!

Don't beat yourself up about the past! Just look forward and take one day at a time. Maybe just treat yourself to your special coffee once every few weeks. As soon as you break the habit of going to buy that coffee you won't crave it as often. I used to love getting my special coffee drink too...but I switched to just…

Yuck, I hate when people are negative. That's no fun to listen to comments like that, I'm sorry. You could just smile and say, "Hey, I feel better and have more energy than ever!" And just remember that you're on this journey for yourself, and no one else.

Exercise is certainly important for overall health. But my trainer says that when it comes to weight loss, diet is 75% and exercise is only 25% of the equation. But every little bit certainly helps!

Totally off subject.... aschavel - I LOVE your kitty photo! That is too cute.

Yeah, I second brushing your teeth right after dinner. I actually floss, brush and use mouthwash. Who wants to floss twice in one night?!?!
-
 Me too! It drives me crazy! I've even up in the middle of the night, once sometimes twice.
-
Me too, me too! I didn't weigh in this week but would like to join next week. Thanks for starting this!

Karen, Have you ever tried Miralax? I've found it works for my occasional constipation. It's not super harsh. You do have to take it for a couple days in a row in order for it to start working.

Don't eat a chili cheese dog before a personal training session. Not a good feeling.
-
Let us know how it goes! How you feel after and how much weight you drop.

I've been wondering this same thing. So should I still eat my strength training calories?

Thanks so much! You too!
