  • Milk's got an incredible protein to calories ratio. The kind you wish to drink should only be directed by your desired calories input and / or taste ;) Since we're all here to shread some fat, I'd say go for the 1% :)

  • Unfortunatly, you're probably just losing and gaining water back... It's very big average to take with a grain of salt but usually, if you're close to obese, you've got a good 10 pounds of water wich you'll lose before losing any fat :\ Just don't give up. Food is a dug and being obese is very close to being alcholic. It's…
  • You can't go wrong with a blendtec! Check youtube for "will it blend" Cheers!

  • Don't be amazed, the first 10 pounds you usually lose is only water. That's why people gain back their weight so fast. By taking 500 cal a day, not only will you lose fat but you'll also lose muscles wich is not a good thing. Finally, you'll feel awful and it might encourage you to stop your diet sooner. I've lost about 50…
  • Trying to get in shape by standing still in front of your television just doesn't make that much sens to me ;) Hope it helps you :D Merry Xmass!!!
  • It's the same as potato chips. The problem with them does not come from what it's made of ( a potato is still a vegetable ) but they way it's deep fried!
  • Gold standard is great, Optimum Nutrition too. There's the walmart BodyFortress wich is great on the aspect of being low cals but it doesn't taste that great and there's quite a bunch of cholesterol in it... but it's inexpensive...
  • I've had some severe headaches a little more than 10 years ago and, just to try it out, I've decided to cut my coca-cola/pepsi consumption (about 2L a day) to zero just to check if it could help. My migraines are gone and I've lost about 30lb in a summer just but cutting this... Since then, it doesn't taste good to me…
  • 5 minutes in the mouth, 5 months on your *kitten*.... not worth it
  • OMG !!! This is probable the most stupid thing I've heard in a while!
  • Wow, we do live in different countrys after all! Here, all the nutritionnal informations for everything they have (even ketchup packet) is printed on the back of every paper that they put on the trays to keep them clean. In addition, there is a big board with the informations avaiable next to the counter where you order…
  • Wow, I didn't knew Nutrisystem. I just went to their website and you can view the ingredients of each meal and it's quite frightening... Everything is highly processed with ingredients which I can't even pronounce their names... I'd stay out of that... smells fishy. If you need a quick meal from time to time, you can…
  • 32.2% of 132lb represents 42.5lb of fat and 89.5lb of everything else. Here's a little table from wikipedia : Essential fat Men 10–12% Women 2–4% Athletes Men 14–20% Women 6–13% Fitness Men 21–24% Women 14–17% Acceptable Men 25–31% Women 18–25% So, if you're a woman and you want to go on the edge of "Fitness", you'd have…
  • OMG 110lb!!! You've just saved your life! Congrats
  • Log EVERYTHING so the next time it's on the verge of happening, you'll have some memories of how terrible it can be.
  • If there's a computer there, continue to input every food you eat. People will probably question you and juge you because "you're crazy to weight everything", "a little more won't kill you" etc etc etc... Anyways, if you keep your calorie count up to date, you won't really have much choice but to eat small portions. When a…
  • Thanks all, you're very kind :blushing:
  • I've found that "crunches" would not hurt my back that much and combined with some "plank" It's given me a little 6-pack :D Crunches http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crunch_(exercise) (25 in a row at the end of my exercises routine) Plank http://exercise.about.com/od/abs/ss/abexercises_10.htm (15 X 30-60 sec) I don't even do…
  • I've increased my calories steadily since the beginning in order to make it easy when I'll have to maintain my weight. I'd suggest you do the same, adding 350-450 cal/day suddenly might trick your body into putting the "extra calories" in reserve which you probably don't want :P Nice job, I'm proud of you! In fact, I'm…
  • Low sodium chicken broth is my best friend when I have a cold
  • 1,25c of 1% milk, 1 scoop of whey proteins and a raw egg all blended together :D
  • Go girl!!! It's finally paying off!!! And yep, you are gorgeous!
  • 100 calories for a tbsp... I know it does taste good but is it really worth it? And when you start to visualize that it's 25% fat, it gets a little frightening :P Anyways, there's no such thing as a pb overdose. Just make sure this does not bring you over the calories you should eat
  • This site beats any diet plan! It's pure maths, if you consume less calories then you spend, your body will use your reserves (fat). You might event get lean faster then your women :)

  • Hmmm, it's always hard to change habits in your life. Everyone was telling me to stop losing weight, that I was doing it wrong, that I would gain it as fast as I've lost it. People are mocking me when I use the scale to weight my food. My girlfriend who is a little overweight was always telling me to stop, that she liked…
  • It sure works better then any diet! The magical thing about this website is that it uses simple mathematics. If you eat less calories then you spend, you burn fat! By counting everything and not lying to yourself, anyone can achieve any target. Maths are on your side :) If you ever encounter a "plateau", don't give up,…
  • The best way to come over a plateau is just to be patient. Don't change a thing and don't panic. It usually takes a week or two but you'll eventually come over it. It is simple mathematics, if you eat less calories then you spend, your body will use your reserves (fat) to fuel your body. Your weight does not depend only on…
  • I've hit several plateau and I've got over them by simply doing nothing special. You can try whatever you wish but in due time your body will adjust to your new reality and you'll start losing fat again. It usually takes me between 1 or 2 weeks and it usually happens when I increase my calorie intake. (I've started at…
