  • Like other said it depends on you and how much you will use it. I have a treadmill at home and have been running and using DVDs for my exercise. Since I had surgery and wont be able to do some of that for a while I am going to join a guy because I cant afford to buy an elliptical and a bike too lol or a pool :)
  • If I can start running in March I am hopeful to be able to make it for my first big race of the year 20k dam to dam. Then will do a 1/2 marathon in MN - the woman's runners one! Also do the des moines full marathon in October!! Probably a few 5k and 10k along the way!
  • For me its the joy and running and accomplishing what I have accomplished. You will feel so incredible for what you have done and that makes it all worth it. I do listen to music when I run solo though. Find a running friend too!
  • Have you been stretching and rolling after you are doing your running? It will help to keep that from being so sore.   • Possibly - sometimes your body gets used to what you are doing and you need to mix it up a bit. Maybe do some bike or swimming and some a little more intense cardio.

  • I don't eat back what I burn when I run. I ran 10 miles on Sunday which is about 950 calories for me. I did allow myself a little more calories and protein to help rebuild my muscles!
