  • I would say that they are a good investment. I've lost more weight with my trainer than I ever have in my life. He's making me lose weight sensibly, which is slower than I'd like (i.e. a quick fix) but he says that this way its less likely that I will put the weight back on! Anyway, sorry i digressed, if you do deicde to…
  • Thank you for all your input. I think that you might be right, but I'm still really worried about it. I need to interview 2 patients and at least 1 will be overweight/obese. I think Im going try and go for the empathy and explain I know its difficult. Thanks again
  • Look under elliptical! Apparently thats what its called in the US
  • Will you be giving people homework? Lol
  • Defo work for me! I had a session with my PT this morning and I was really annoyed because of an arguement with my boyfriend and it was one of the best workouts I've had for a long time. Try boxing its great to get stuff out!
  • There's loads on youtube! they always come up when I'm looking for stuff. The best way I have found to find longish (20+ min) videos is to use google video.
  • Thank you!
  • Hey I can understand your situation! I'm in a very similar place. It's an added stress to being a student and trying to lose weight. My friends are mostly tiny and so can eat or drink what they want, whereas I can't. I often stay in when they go out which isnt great coz I feel like im being boring but if I go out its ver…
  • Completely agree with the hot sauce and cottage cheese, havent tried the salsa but defo will do. Cream cheese and pizza sauce crackers sound good too, not sure about the pb an pickles though!
  • Stretch stretch and stretch some more! Lol! This is one of the best thing for me!
  • I often make up a big batch of ratatouille! Its easy and yum, all I do is fry my onion, carrot and garlic in a few drops of olive oil, add dried italian herbs then add my veg (courgettes/zuchini, aubergine/eggplant. peppers, sweetcorn, green beans and mushrooms and let it cook. Finally i add spinach and broccoli. Add some…
  • Depends on their personality! But in all honesty I'd probs tell them tactfuly!
  • Apparently your better off eating normal versions because low fat means low fat and normally has higher carb and sugar levels which is worse.
  • Keeping up a social life and a diet/lifestyle change is hard! I have that battle pretty mcuh on a daily basis! I have found the best way to deal with it, is to factor your wine/treat into your daily cals...so maybe only drink half the glass someone pours you...and make sure you eat fewer cals during the day. Its not IDEAL…
  • Leeds! :)
  • Hey! Loads of studies and people suggest differen things. But I have found that what works best for me is somehing that fits into my life! I have given up most carbs except for brown bread and weetabix which i have a small portion of one or the other. That's worked best for me. Give stuff ago and find a system that works…

  • Have you tried a stationary bike or elliptical! Both keep you legs moving in one plane of motion. With the bike you get a little support from the seat too. Otherwise you could look into chairaerobics. The best thing to do is to speak to a physio or your doctor about it as I'm making random suggestion and am not a qualified…
  • I absolutely hate it! Find my self much better off getting a hot shower!
  • Thanks! I don't really want to take cheat meals or days there's just to much risk of it all going to pot! I'd rather just turn what I'm doing into a habit. If that makes sense. The reason I asked the question was because i read somewhere that they can boost weight loss, and wasnt sure how that would work!
  • Go and see Safe House! Denzel Washington and Ryan Renolds are AMAZING!
  • I've been told that protein takes the lonest to digest so in theory keeps you fuller for longer. I try and get protein into every meal/snack! The other thing I do is make sure i drink water a short while before eating. This fills me up quicker. Then if I'm hungry I try water first. Only downside is I end up needing to pee…
  • Hi! I used to have exactly the same anxieties! To be really honest with you I am not sure if they have completely gone or not! Anyway, have you thought about asking one of the instructors in the gym to help get you started? My bf bought me an inital block of 3 session with a trainer at the gym to get me to go! I still…
  • To be honest drink as little as physically possible! Even though it doesn't have calories per se, it has a whole load of artifical sweeteners and other chemicals which make it harder to lose weight! My trainer and I spent a good few week trying to wean me of it when I hit a plateau! I did work although there were other…
  • That's amazing well done! Enjoy your success! Scales aren'ty everything as you have showed and to be honest sometimes there victories can mean more that weight loss on the scales! Well done!
  • Wow! the website is just what I need, its great, thanks for sharing!
  • To be honest it depends what you are looking for. I like the fact that my trainer is there for accountability and support. Before training with him I pretty much did the same thing everytime I went to the gym, but he has taught be a lot from varying my workouts and how to do that to the best way to make my diet and exercie…
  • Generally "chugging" isnt great for your body! It tends to go straight through you! I was told that the best thing to do is to sip...if you need to drink in larger quantities add a pinch of salt....haven't exactly figured out why though!
  • Beyonce, Usher, LMFAO, David Guetta, Flo Rida, Kelly Clarkson, Rihanna!
  • . It's completely normal to have ups and downs, and if you're anything like me it'll feel like there's a lot more downs than ups while trying to lose weight! I had my fair few. The best thing I can suggest to keep going is to set yourself acheivable goals....really samll ones, to start so little things! Managing the little…
