I need some help

Okay, so I'm feeling a bit down today, but I seem to be reflecting back on all my past failures (and my current binge-way too ashamed to even enter the foods into the food diary). I would lose weight and then gain most of it back. I have to attend a family wedding in April and I'm feeling pressure to lose a lot of weight. The last time my extended family saw me, I was about twenty pounds lighter. Now, they aren't going to judge me but they were so proud of me for losing some of the weight I needed to lose. So, I guess what I'm struggling with is...

How do you believe in yourself when you keep failing yourself? Especially since I don't have a lot of "real life" support.

Believe in yourself! Stop sulking and get moving! The equation is: Eat less + exercise more= Slimmer and happier you! Look in the mirror and tell yourself you are worth it and you love yourself. Then start moving!

Start with a realistic little goal... for you it might be just getting through the day. Be completly honest about the dairy or it won't work. If you don't have it available to others to view then you are doing yourself a disservice. I say this because I like for my friends on here to look through it and critique it. You need honesty, opinions and support. Even a simple WTG at the end of the day is encouraging...... just knowing that someone took the time to say hey great job means a ton because everyone has hectic lifes and busy schedules. Oh and let me add... most people here don't have support in real life so we turn to others here for that very reason. Don't allow the pressure to get to you just make the decision to do it for you. You are the only person at the end of the day that is looking back at yourself in the mirror. **wink** trust you can do it.

    .

It's completely normal to have ups and downs, and if you're anything like me it'll feel like there's a lot more downs than ups while trying to lose weight! I had my fair few. The best thing I can suggest to keep going is to set yourself acheivable goals....really samll ones, to start so little things! Managing the little things means acheiving little goals that in time give you the courage to take on bigger goals!

I can understand the trouble of not having real life support! Been there! That's what everyone on here is for! Ok maybe its not real-life but its support!

I hope that helps a little!

P.s feel free to add me as a friend!

I have days like that too. I think most of us here do. Don't be too hard on yourself, not every day is going to be a good day. Don't focus on one day as a "failure" look at your diary for the whole time you have been logging and your bad day(s) probably wont seem so bad.

When I have my bad days I just remind myself that it's okay and make sure to kick myself up the backside and get back on track the next day.
