Go by MFP. Adjust if it doesn't work.

I always eat back at least some of my calories. I use a HRM so I'm as sure as I can be when I exercise on what I am actually burning. When I used to go by what was on the machines, I would never eat them all back, just to adjust for machine error. If you are nursing and eating not eating back calories, I would worry about…

I was talking specifically about bar code scanning. People were complaining about bar codes being wrong. Sorry if that wasn't clear. I had meant to quote the person I was talking about but it didn't work.

You were the one throwing it in people's face how much busier you are than everyone. ;) Just making the point that other people have lives and find the time to check things. You get what you give.

PEOPLE - The entires are USER ENTERED - even the BAR CODES. USER ENTERED. Double check everything. The owners of the site didn't spend years entering all the food for you. Users have entered it all. I've found a lot of errors, but a lot of things right. Check to see how many users have said it is correct. If it is 0,…

Drinking more water. I find when I am "hungry" I am normally bored or thirsty. That helped a lot. Also, keeping myself busy - reading more, finding a hobby, something.

No one should be scanning barcodes and assuming it is correct. The barcodes are still user inputted. I check everything. I do wish there was a way to delete things out of the database because with this many users all entering their own over and over, it is going to get to the point where the database becomes a beast with…

For an item to be added to the database, a person would have had to scan the item, it not be in the database, and they add it. They don't just automatically get added to the database based on the bar code.

I am using this 12 week program to start: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/womans_lean_sexy_bible.htm

I love lettuce tacos. The shell is so much of your calories. You can even use chicken breast shredded. Make your own taco seasoning. There are great recipes out there to make your own that are just as tasty as the packets with way less salt.

Thanks everyone. These are just mixed berries. Strawberries, bananas, raspberries, blueberries. I am using plain greek yogurt, milk and honey. Oh, and the recipe said some vanilla extract, so I did that as well. I tried frozen berries thinking they would be sweeter, but no. Thanks! I'll keep trying.

It is so easy to fall back into old habits once you lose the weight. I always said that this was going to have to be a life long change in habits. I didn't REALLY know what that meant until after I lost the weight and slowly let my old habits take back over.

I second (or third or whatever) slowing down. You should be able to have a conversation while you are running. The endurance will come with time. I found when I first started that I was pushing WAY to hard. I was cramping, out of breath and hated it all. I reread that I needed to be able to talk and found that I had to…

Thanks everyone! Feel free to add me as well. I lost a lot of friends when I stopped logging, so I could some added inspiration and motivation.

No one?

Great job! You look great!

That isn't true. You may have trained your body to think hunger when really it was boredom, emotions, stress, etc.

eat. your body needs fuel to function. i lost 40 lbs in 6 months eating every single one of my exercise calories back.
-
Well poo...no one wants to take this on with me?

In your post I see four issues you mention: 1. Eating the pizza: As you said, you stayed within your calories, so this isn't an issue. You shouldn't feel bad for eating pizza. I lost 40 lbs in six months eating much healthier but in moderation. I didn't deprive myself of anything...pizza, beer, chocolate. Had it all. But…

I'm excited to try it. I've been doing the same routines for nearly a year and I'm not getting any where but I didn't know what to do. I looked in to the NROWLFW but was lost. So I returned the book and returned to what I had been doing. I'm ready to get fit and stop being skinny fat.
-
Nope. None at all. Tired of all the people who want get fit fast diets but still want to eat crap. I was pushing 200 lbs and there was no way I was losing weight continuing to the unhealthy person I was when I started this journey. It is how I got fat to begin with. I had to change my lifestyle. If you come here expecting…

of course you can lose weight doing it but that doesn't make it healthy. as someone said, everything in moderation. the OP said they weren't giving up their multiple glasses of wine a night. depending on her glass size, that could be 200 calories a glass, for a total of 600 calories in three 8oz glasses. That is a lot of…

And for god's sake, stop thinking about calories in and calories out like they don't matter. What you eat means as much as the number of calories. Sure, you can cut out all your food and live on wine if you want. But you will end up dead. Have at it. Sorry if I'm harsh, but I am so sick of the "I'm fat but I love candy…

Can you cut back the number of glasses of wine? I don't mean to be blunt, but doesn't really sound like you want the answer. You've already made up your mind. The reality is, there aren't many people here who are going to pat you on the back and tell you what you want to hear. The reality is that if you are drinking a…

And I hate when white people say they are raising their children "color blind". I prefer to raise my children to see the beautiful and amazing differences that exist between people and to appreciate and respect these differences. Being color blind implies you don't see the authentic experiences of people based on their…
