  • I won't reommendGarmin VivoSmart with heartrate monitor, which I tried before the UP and then returned after two weeks. Did not consistently synch. Odd results for sleep tracking. The app interface was paltry (especially now I've compared to Jawbone Up). For the much higher cost it was worth it.
  • I second the Jawbone UP recommendation (not UP24). Slimmer appearance. Great app interface with encouraging stats, quotes & sync with MFP, Map My Walk and more. App rates meals/nutrition that it sees in MFP. It has its own meal tracking component but MFP is much better. The UP is older model (plug in earphone jack to…
  • Good Evening -- Kinda late to post for today's goal ... so my 5/3 goal is to: * push my steps to 10K (just shy today) * drink 2 more glasses of water (working my way to 100oz/day) * sign up for bike rental (towards my goal to bike work by end of month) Good luck all with goals on Friday :-) Cecilia
  • Good Evening: My weight is 229 (down, yeah!). Measurements to come. Ceclia
  • What great ideas! Plate size, water, sprinkling Splenda (go Grandma!). My mental measurements are quite generous; so I'm turning back to the actual measuring cup starting Saturday.
  • Looking back I wish this week I wish I added more exercise. Next week I plan to add more strength training and (bad knee willing) start back on indoor bike. My 3rd week goal is start street biking at lunch in May. Cheers, Cecilia
  • It happens. I also notice weight gains after eating higher sodium food (such as frozen boxed meals, processed food). With time, water and stickig to the plan, it will come off. Fear not :-)
  • My plan was to increase steps from 6K to 10K. I got to 9K and snuck in stairs in between meetings and glut work in the elevator when it was empty. Small changes but it helps me keep fitness/health in the forefront of my mind. Next plan step -- track all bites and beveages. Yesterday I failed to log in all the unhealthful…
  • Hello: My plan started Sunday with a mental reset -- stop beating myself over past weight lost but gained back. Today, I added to my plan to increase my daily steps from 6000 to 10,000 by next Monday. My left knee has other plans but I shall convince it otherwise. :-) Cecilia

  • Hello: I'm Cecila, 44yo living near Washington DC. I re-joined MFP this week to track and improve my nutrition choices. Just as I was thinking about setting a short-term goal ... viola, I saw 20/75 group. Thanks for starting it! I lost 70lbs a few years back through regular exercise but didn't make permanent diet changes…
