  • I do the same as another comment.. I eat different amounts of calories every day to keep my body always guessing... some days I eat 1200, other days I eat 2000. I exercise 6 times a week and am seeing some good toning and weight loss. I think everyone is different, but this works for me :)
  • I have exactly the same problem... pizza, wine etc. It's just too tempting not to let yourself go on the weekends isn't it? I just put it down to the fact that I am super strict during the week and I allow myself treats on the weekend. I think I went over my calories by about 400 or so, but during the week I always seem to…
  • I am a serious sucker for carrot cake, so thanks for this! Do you know how many calories per slice?
  • this is super easy and came straight from my nutritionist so is somewhat low fat and is healthy... 1 wholewheat english muffin 1 slice of turkey bacon 1 light babybel 1/2 cup of fruit on the side (I usually pick blueberries, blackberries etc.)
  • Ahhh, glad to hear I am not the only one. I had a vacation in the UK, then had my brother visiting me during the Calgary Stampede, which meant lots of partying, drinking and doughnuts... I came tumbling off the band wagon, but climbed back with more determination than ever! Welcome back one and all and here's to our weight…
  • I bought a book called Eating for Life.. it has the easiest recipes in it and they are quick and delicious! It has breakfast, lunches, dinners, deserts and snacks and it is still one of my most used cook books. I personally like that they tell you the whole meal including sides for dinner. Another thing I do is meal plan…
  • I was sick a few weeks ago and I never work out when I am sick. I do the same in sticking to my 1200 caloric intake for the day.
  • I live in Canada and bought my Hydroxycut Hardcore from GNC 2 years ago (I got pregnant so didn't end up taking it). The bottle is open and I did take some of it about a month ago. I am going to just throw mine away, but I am wondering if there is anything I can take instead? I am going on vacation in 3 weeks and really…
  • I personally stay away from pre-packaged stuff as they seem to be full of preservatives and sodium, which can slow things down for weight loss. This is a typical day for me. I sometimes eat my exercise calories, sometimes not. Breakfast Coffee - No Sugar With Skim Milk, 1 mug Raspberries - Raw, 0.5 cup Skippy - Natural…
  • I have been entering mine as just circuit training?
  • I lost 9 inches all over since January. Just a few more to go around my hips and waist and I will be happy!
  • Thanks, I tried looking on her website, but couldn't find the 5 disc set that you mention? Maybe it's not offered anymore, but do you have the name of it? It sounds like a great workout and I trust your opinion and recommendation and am interested in buying it!
  • I also recommend Jillian Michaels The Biggest Winner 5 disc DVD set. I only paid $45 for it and all 5 disks (approx. 1/2 hour workout on each) are even more intense than the 30 day shred. do you know where can i find this set?
  • I did a DVD called Ripped by Jari Love and saw GREAT results too. I use this if I can't get to bootcamp or want to work out at home. She has a DVD called Ripped 1000 and a new one called Extremely Ripped.. they are awesome DVDs and I saw results with this in a matter of a month or two. I am always on the lookout for…
  • I am thinking of buying this DVD after hearing how great it is  how many times a week are you supposed to do it?
  • Ok, I had a baby 6 months ago and gained about 25 pounds overall, but then gained more weight after a trip to the UK in January (too much fish and chips and boozing) and I gained about 15 more pounds there. When I got back from the UK early January, I weighed myself and was shocked to see I was 150 pounds:noway: I have…
  • 4 oz steak 1/2 cup mashed yam asparagus 1 tbsp hummous
  • its interesting and I think most of you are right in saying that you will be thin, but not healthy and there's a difference for sure.
  • I have a question... if a person eats somewhat unhealthy, but still stays in their calorie amount will they still lose weight? For example, if a person doesn't exactly eat the healthiest one day, but stays within 1200 calories for the day, will they still lose weight? My husband is curious.
  • Me too! My baby is 5.5 months old. I have been running and just ran my first 5k race on Sunday. I also joined a bootcamp and started eating healthy again (well most of the time). For me, the last few pounds have been a bit difficult to lose, but I am sticking with it. :grumble:
  • I am currently doing bootcamp and LOVE it! It certainly feels like you are getting the best from a workout.
  • I am so done with this topic. All I will say is... I lost those 10 pounds OVER a month and a half ago now and never gained it back. I finished that particular meal plan and continued on my weight loss journey by eating healthy. I "hopped" back on the meal plan again for a few days because I had a blowout weekend because of…
  • of course I am not breastfeeding! I only did this plan when I stopped breastfeeding to try and lose 10 pounds to kick things off. I only have 8 pounds to go until I am at my goal weight and plan to lose the last 8 by eating well balanced meals. I start a boot camp next week so will be upping my calories. Yikes, didn't…
  • I did this plan a month ago and never gained it back. It worked for me and I haven't had any problems losing a pound a week just from eating healthy after I finished this plan either. For me, I just wanted a kick start after having a baby
  • Hi mrsyac2: Yes it was given to me specifically and it works. I wanted to something to boost things as I just had a baby and wanted to lose the first 10 pounds. It stayed off and I am almost at my pre-pregnancy weight. I certainly don't eat like this on a regular basis and eat a well balanced diet usually (with the…
  • I would say that feeling light headed is not good. I also wonder the same thing as I have a HR monitor and run.. my heart beat gets up to about 170bmp and I feel ok at this point, but I set my HR monitor to tell me when it gets too high. i want to make sure I am working out to full capacity, so I am not sure where to keep…
  • 132 5' 7" Size 6 (Canadian) I was 150 pounds at the start of January when I returned from a trip to the UK (God damn fish n chips).
  • If it is too sore to work out, can you just keep your calories to the min 1200 and see how that goes? Then you can always pick it up again when the cast comes off. :ohwell:
  • I just started running last month and am fast getting addicted! I joined a running group and have found this great for motivation. We just started off walking two minutes and running a minute and gradually increasing from there. We are now running 18 minutes and will be doing a 5k race in 2 weeks. If I can do this, anyone…
