Hi,
I have done the 30 day shred to the finish . . . Every step kicks you butt :noway: It took me longer than 30 days to get through the 3 levels. Your body DOES adapt to the workouts and they become less difficult to finish. Keep on going the results are outstanding. (they were for me !)0 -
I am thinking of buying this DVD after hearing how great it is how many times a week are you supposed to do it?0
-
I've had this DVD for a few months now. All 3 levels are a pretty intense work out. I hate level 2 the worst. It's the V fly exercise on the second circuit, kills me every time but effective. I've just joined a gym so don't get to use it much anymore but for those who can't get to a gym regularly or aren't comfortable in a gym these workouts are great!!! I also recommend Jillian Michaels The Biggest Winner 5 disc DVD set. I only paid $45 for it and all 5 disks (approx. 1/2 hour workout on each) are even more intense than the 30 day shred. If you think you're exhausted after that wait 'til you try this!!!! Every time I want to cry by the end...lol. Totally worth it though!! Jillian Micheals gets the job done!!!!0
-
I would use it 4 -5 times a week. If you've been through all the levels I would mix it up during the week (level 1, then 3, then 2...etc.) If not then build up to it. You won't be sorry!!0
-
My goal is to finish the dvd... i really want to see a change in my body and doing the 30 day shred i know it's going to make me lose weight and start toning... with how much your moving and sweating how could you not lose weight after doing a dvd like that...0

Yup, it's Jillian Michaels (from Biggest Looser) DVD - I bought it on amazon.com for ~$8.... Can't beat that!0 -
I did a DVD called Ripped by Jari Love and saw GREAT results too. I use this if I can't get to bootcamp or want to work out at home. She has a DVD called Ripped 1000 and a new one called Extremely Ripped.. they are awesome DVDs and I saw results with this in a matter of a month or two. I am always on the lookout for something new and I think this 30 Day Shred might just be the ticket too!0

If you've completed it "with great results," can you tell us what kind of results you got? I know it claims you can lose 20 pounds in the 30 days. Did you see anything comparable yourself? I started it last Thursday (3/19) and have done it everyday except yesterday sometimes with another exercise thrown in too. I've lost 1.6 pounds since then.0

I order it off of the Jillian Michaels web site. There's a store link in there that's has a few different DVD's the 30 day shred and the 5 disc are the best ones in my opinion. The other discs offresed are for beginners. www.jillianmichaels.com here's alink to get ya' started. Seriously Highly recommend!!0

This DVD is amazing. I am a fairly consistent gym go'er, about 3 times a week for about an hour. Let me tell you that this DVD made me sweat more in 20 minutes than I ever have at the gym for an hour. It is intense, but you get an amazing workout that tones and burns calories. I was aching for 2 days after the first time I did Level 1, but I'm assuming my body wasn't used to working those muscles so hard and so intensely, so bare that in mind if you are just starting out exercising. I like Jillian's attitude and she makes you want to complete it. I would recommend this DVD to everyone who is prepared to work out hard and see results :-). I think after I complete this, I'll definately be getting some more of her workout videos.0

Thanks, I tried looking on her website, but couldn't find the 5 disc set that you mention? Maybe it's not offered anymore, but do you have the name of it? It sounds like a great workout and I trust your opinion and recommendation and am interested in buying it!0 -
I just bought this one, and am glad it is a short, but intense workout. I plan to do it each morning when I wake up to jumpstart my metabolism and prepare for summer. Is it practical to think that I can do a week-10 days at each level to ramp up before summer?0

Hello All,
I have been doing this workout for 4 days. I joined the 30 day shred challenge on MFP to see if we could do it for 30 days straight and see the results. I like it but it's challenging. I am doing the modified push up and I would like to get where I can do them full out. I will do the shred in the morning and something else at night. I made the mistake of doing her in the morning and bob at night so sore. my arms hurt right now!!!
Someone typed on her this morning that they did it for 30 days and didn't get the results they wanted. that made me nervous but I'm going to keep pushing.
? How are you guys logging the workout on her. I was doing 20 mins of low impact cardio
You can buy it at walmart for 10
keep shredding0 -
Hey Tjones -- thanks for your post! I am also trying to do it for 30 days straight to see what kinds of results I can get. I've done two days now. I try to do some sort of training at night, too. My arms are ridiculously sore! I can't do the "real" push up yet, either. I am also nervous about not getting the results, but the results of doing this for 20 minutes a day have to be better than the results from not doing it, right???
I logged it as 20 minutes of circuit training. Does that make sense?
Where is the challenge at?0 -
I use my HRM while doing it. I've done 9 days of the program. My calories burned ranged from 175-210. I use five pounds weights and am at just under 200 pounds.0

um...the challenge was on here but there hasn't been much replies lately. they might have started a new thread and left me out...lol but it was under exerise and fitness but I can do the challenge with you if you would like. today is my 7th day. and I'm planning to move to level 2 tonight wish me luck.
good luck to you0 -
OMG, I did my first day of this yesterday. :noway: :noway: :noway: :noway: Literally thought I was going to die! hahahhahhahha! BUT, I pulled through... ALL the way! I laid on the floor for about 15 minutes after; not able to move, then had jelly legs for the rest of the night! LOL!
I must say though I feel SO good though! Tired, but good!

Ooohhhh, I just ordered this after reading thread after thread about how awesome this video is. I have a class reunion in 9 weeks and COUNTING and I need to drop some pounds pretty fast (think 2 lbs a week fast--not toooo fast, but faster than my body would appreciate!).
I also ordered one of her other newest videos that came out called Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism that also promises awesome results.
I have been working on a couch to 5k program for the last 2.5 weeks and seeing ZIP for results, so I'm hoping this will amp things up. I'll definitely keep everyone posted. I plan to rotate it in at least 3 days a week for the next 8 weeks.0 -

Its a very insane workout!!! And not being able to stop through the dvd makes it seem even worse!!! But you'll find your self loving it after doing it a few times...0 -

Oh, I know!! The weights in the last section there really got me!! Up and down, up and down..... hahaha, I was grunting and groaning, and the entire time the DH was in the other room laughing at me! LOL
Are you doing it everyday? I decided I'm only going to do it M-W-F w/ Bob's Yoga DVD on T-Th. I'm going to make a six week program out of it, and do each level for two weeks rather than one....0 -

Oh, I'll have to check out that video once I get tired of the 30 day one..... Sounds good! Good luck at your reunion BTW!0 -
I've done 10 workouts of it so far (8x level 1, 2x level 2). I've lost 6 pounds so far.0
