Ever so often, I'll eat a 1000+ calorie dinner after a 5-6 mile run and it doesn't bother me. I wouldn't feel too bad about it if you were under your calorie limit. Never reduce calories the next day.. there's no point to it. Just eat cleanly if it bothers you so much.

I wouldn't do it at all -- what's the point unless you're A.) Clogged up. B.) Prepping for a colonoscopy and/or your doctor told you. For sudden weight loss = bad idea. Think it will rid bad bacteria and/or remove toxins = bad idea. Your body naturally flushes out your colon if it needs to do so... hence the occasional…

Not really a recipe but I find it completely disgusting when people put mayonaise or ranch dressing on meatball subs at Subway.

That sounds amazing -- I must try that next time.

Most seeds and nuts are great for you and have healthy fats -- as long as it fits into your diet and you don't go over your daily fat allowance.

I exercise to eat more. Well, and be healthy too.

A very colorful salad with chicken.

Grab spoon. Eat. Or you can mix it into smoothies, make a pie, or incorporate it into oatmeal -- add honey, pumpkin pie spice. heavenly.

unsweetened soy isn't too bad.. same with unsweetened almond milk. you just want to make sure it's unsweetened and don't use too much since it's thicker than regular milk.

protein shake w/ spinach, fruit, chia seeds or flax seeds, and coconut milk. you get protein, fat, and sugar all in one glass =)

I don't think restaurants really care about people's health. They're a business and businesses are fueled by revenue. Yes, the portions are absurd and most meals are loaded with sodium, fat, sugar, etc.... but it's the user that should be aware about what they are consuming. You can make the same argument about bars…

This is what I love and hate about steak =)

This! I find it cheaper to eat healthy, fresh/frozen fruits and veggies as long as I don't eat at restaurants or grab fast food. Frozen veggies are just as nutritious as fresh ones... same with fruit. Find farmer markets... buy bulk! Your health is more important and your body will thank you.

Shaken, not stirred.

I eat about two slices a day, depending. But I'm a big fan of the Food for Life - Organic 7 Sprouted Grains Bread. Chewy but tasty.

Earth Balance or Smart Balance have dairy free and soy free margarine/faux-butter.

I really don't think you have to worry about Potassium unless you're showing signs of potassium deficiency. Many foods that we normally eat contain potassium. Never take potassium supplements unless advised by a doctor. Too much potassium can be harmful to your heart (which I know from past experience). I had lab work done…

anything that isn't breakfast is okay for breakfast =)

I feel the same way about cauliflower as I do about Nickelback. Not a fan of oysters, clams, and dorian either.

agreed!

I'm a big fan of chia seeds, ground flax seed, fresh fruit, wheyprotein powder, and organic lactose free milk.

Just add another scoop or half scoop to the shake and you'll have 30+ grams of protein. Also, you can start incorporating silken tofu or hemp protein to the shake as well.
