I was having the same problem. I was working out, burning 400cal - 500cal per day, getting within my caloric goal and the scale did NOT move for 4 weeks. It was so annoying. Up 3lbs, down 3lbs, up 3lbs, down 3lbs.... I started the 2-week-Dr Oz diet 4 days ago. Finally moving past my 3lbs plateau! No bread, pasta or any…

I tried Veganism and I found it too hard to give up eggs and the cheese. I switched back to vegetarian. I HATED the fake cheese. I didn't mind the fake meat though, some are quite tasty but full of sugar. Now that I am on the Dr. Oz diet, I had to give up the cheese, AGAIN. At least, I still have the eggs. I get them from…

Oh, and cut out alcohol and coffee too

Try the Dr Oz 2 week weight loss plan (google it). It is a 4 part video series showing various people losing the weight. The condensed version is: Cut out wheat (bread, pasta etc), sugar and dairy (except greek yogurt, i don't know why). Nuts, a little fruit, a lot of veggies, healthy fats, and protein is allowed. Everyone…

I only felt nauseated when I took a year off of working out and got back on the saddle. First workouts always made me feel this way.

The 28-year old woman who died at the water drinking radio contest had only 6 liters of water in 3 hours. So be careful. http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=strange-but-true-drinking-too-much-water-can-kill Don't drink for the sake of drinking water, if you need water, your body will tell you.

Why drink a diuretic if you already don't drink water!? Counter-productive!

I started Jan 1st of this year and it has been difficult. I miss eggs a lot. They were my go to snack before a workout. I am getting tired of nuts and legumes everyday. I find myself having one cheat day a week: either baked fluffy bread, cheese or an egg. I don't feel so bad eating the egg since I know where they came…

First, you need to give your knees a rest. No more running till you see a doctor. I too cannot run for more than 3km before feeling the pain in my knees. I have had xrays done (shows no problem) and I am waiting to see an Orthopedist xmas eve. I haven't run at all in the last 4 months since my last Triathlon. My trainer…

I'm doing a drug testing clinical study program. I only get $1090 out of it, ingest 2 antibiotic pills, lose 4 nights out of my life and over 40 blood sample draws. I am halfway through. Then I can pay some dental bills with the cash. The experience isn't so bad, so far. I met interesting people from all walks of life at…

Training outdoors is better for me. I take bootcamp classes in the cold outdoors, even in the winter and we get a lot of snow and frigid weather. We run a lot to keep warm. A friend of mine did a 10K outdoors after training for months on the treadmill... her 10K time was terrible compared to her treadmill time. She felt…

I do cardio so I can complete in my first Half Ironman next year. I assume if I don't do any cardio, I won't do that well @ the race.

I don't mind the metaphoric term "journey". Some MFPers are more poetic than others.

Just ask for the same amount of time off that the other dude is taking. Just to be fair.

Yes, do this:
-
I snacked on raw veggies at night. No dressing and no dip.
-
I only eat them back now because I am maintaining. While I was losing weight, I ate 0% to 50% of my burned calories. Mostly zero though.

If you look pale, just jog outdoors a bit everyday, get your vitamin D and a little color in your face.
-
Congratulations, you look amazing!

Having MFP friends is like gardening. There is constant weeding, which can be work... The end result: I have a nice small group of friends that are quite supportive and we are in tune with each other's habits.

No, we have insulated pipes. But if we are away for the week-end or more, we shut off the water valve completely in the country. Not in the city though.

I love your outfits! Congrats! I forwarded your post to my sister, I hope it inspires her!

Leave the dead weight. Sounds like he's contributing nothing to your relationship.

I don't gain weight, I get hives. I am slowly adjusting to a life without bread.. I find eating fruits and vegetables raw makes me feel better.
-
Eat healthily, don't go over your calories and don't stress about it.

Is this all in one sitting? 150 pushups? can the last day be broken up into 20 pushups every 3 hours?

You're making a big pile of something out of nothing.

I have 14" calves and I am now transitioning from Triathlon training to Ballet. I look forward to seeing a difference. If at all.

You look like a different person! I wouldn't have guessed it was the same person! Very beautiful, good for you!
