Aww... thanks again, everyone! Truly!!! :-)

Wow... thank you all for your very kind words and support! It truly means a lot! I've been down this road several times and failed. So for everyone out there that's just starting (or starting yet again)... don't give up!!! You CAN do it!!! :-)

Welcome! Feel free to add me if you'd like. I'm only about half-way through my journey, but I know how important a good support system is. I hope you find success!

*bump*

That's a great goal! You've got three months, so that's like somewhere inbetween 1 and 1.5 lbs a week? Good luck! I'm trying my hardest to stay away from the candy until Halloween. Then I shall allow myself to indulge for one day - and one day only! LOL

You look great! Such an amazing difference! Congratulations!!!

Honestly... you're not alone. It took me almost -75lbs before I actually started seeing a difference in the mirror. My jean size went from a fitted 24 to a very loose and baggy 18, so I knew my body was changing. Plus... like you said... everyone kept commenting on how great I looked. But I couldn't see it in the mirror. I…

Hello and welcome! Feel free to add me! I'm only halfway through my journey that I started at the first of this year. But I feel like if *I* can do it, anyone can! ;-)
-
Congratulations on ONEderland! That's truly awesome!!! And a feat I hope to soon achieve myself! ;-)

Started the program on April 2nd and completed it on June 15th. Didn't have to repeat a day or week, but did have to take over a week off due to an injury. Really enjoying running and plan to continue. Signed up for my first 5k - The Color Run (Nashville) - in October! Can't wait!!!

Whether you have 10 or 100 lbs to lose, a good support system is essential! I hope you're able to surround yourself with the support you need! Please feel free to add me! :-)

Pandora has several workout stations. Pretty much one to fit any kind of music you like! I favor the Dance Cardio cause it keeps me moving and helps me get through difficult runs.

If I'm craving something sweet, I love snacking on fat free Cool Whip. A 2 TBSP serving is only 20 calories, 10 mg sodium, 4 carbs and 2 sugars. You can't beat that! :-)

I've been using their Dance Cardio station for a few months now. And honestly... if it wasn't for that... I don't think I'd be able to get through my C25k training! (I'm starting Week 9 today!) They always seem to play just the right song when you need it the most. :-)

Good for you! If you follow the program, you won't regret it! Smart move with the shoes! Proper fitting and supporting shoes are VERY important if you want to be able to comfortably walk/run. I just logged Week 7, Day 3 so I'm close to finishing the program. I honestly wasn't sure if I'd be able to do it considering my…

Great! I've added everyone. Thanks again!!! Looking forward to keeping up with all of you! :-)

Thanks, kalkat! :-)

Thanks for all the adds, everyone! Figured I'd give this thread a bump since it's a holiday and a lot of people are home today! :-)

Hey that's my combo, too! I love and swear by my Fitbit. I wear it 24/7 - well - unless I'm bathing. If it only was water-proof! :-) I also love my Polar FT7. While the Fitbit does an awesome job of counting my steps and stairs (and tracking my sleep), the HRM is far more accurate because it monitors your heart rate. :-)…

I first heard about The Color Run a few weeks ago and got super excited when I saw Nashville listed. It's even in October which hopefully means it won't be super hot! I think this will be PERFECT for my first 5k!!!

Wow! Thanks everyone for all the great suggestions!!! I'll try wearing them on another finger until I can make it to the jewelry store. Not sure if a guard will work though. My skin is very sensitive and I fear something like that may irritate it. If so, I'll have to give the necklace idea a try! :-)

Yeah, I'm thinking if you had a Fitbit it would be on Cloud 9 right now! :-)

Let me just say that as soon as I saw the subject of this post, I just HAD to reply! I, too, hit 300 lbs back in November. Seeing that absurd number on the scale was definitely my wake-up call. I started using MFP, counting calories, wearing a Fitbit, and walking on my treadmill daily. Before I even heard about C25k, I…

I'm super excited! I'm finally ordering my Polar FT7 today! Hope I love it just as much as everyone has raved about it! :-)
-
This is exactly why I want one! When I first started MFP, I felt like the calories burned estimate was rather high. Then I finally figured out how to program my treadmill with my weight. I'm guessing it's a lot more accurate than MFP, but I know a HRM would be about spot on.

^^THIS^^ Although I use the whole grain pasta and it's only 200 calories. Typically I eat two servings! :-)

Wow! So far it seems everyone loves theirs. Good to know! I've got less than 10 lbs to go and I plan on rewarding myself with one. Can't wait to get it! As far as the house and yard work, I was wondering if it'd even be able to track it. Keep in mind, I started with an extremely sedentary lifestyle. I'm talking like I…

When I saw the title of this post, I just had to read the response! I am (severely) overweight and have recently started running. Fortunately, I have a treadmill so I currently do it within the comforts of my home. But I am REALLY getting into it and hope one day to be comfortable enough to move outside on nice days. I am…

I vaguely remember reading an article not too long about about how exercise is exercise. Basically whether you walk/run for 30 minutes straight or you do ten minutes here and there and here again... it's all equals out to be the same thing. Personally, some days when I'm really not feeling it... I'll do 15 minutes on the…
