It's called "The Stop Binge Eating Podcast". I think you can also listen to it on her website. I know what you mean. I always thought there was something wrong with me (not disciplined enough, not strong enough...). I have to learn to be nicer to myself and more mindful when I am eating.

Hi! I'm Michelle. I also struggle with stress eating/bingeing. I've been listening to a podcast by Kirstin Sarfde that has been helpful. She gives advice and tips on dealing with stress eating/binge eating.

Intuitive Eating is a good book that details the many reasons why people overeat. It's very interesting. They mention many of the reasons stated in this thread. For me, it was emotional eating and response to deprivation. But there are lots of reasons people eat to that level of fullness.

Same with me. No button to press but it did register 2 hours of sleep while I watched a movie once

Hi! Sounds like you are doing great so far! 1.2 lbs is excellent! For recipes, I like www.hungry-girl.com. For some recipes she has the smartpoints value but everything has nutrition information you can use. She has some great recipes for when you want comfort food without all the fat. I just made the slow cooker pot roast…

I wore a fitbit when I worked retail and depending on the how long my shift was I could easily add an extra 200-300 or even 400 calories...I do have to admit that knowing I was wearing a pedometer encouraged me walk a bit more than I normally would.

My father can be like that. He runs marathons. You just have to take it as they are trying to help not hurt. I know it's annoying but you are right when you say they don't understand your take on your diet and you don't owe them an explanation. Just thank them for their advice and move on. :-)
