Happened to me a few times: When I was in my early 20's a child asked me if I was having a boy or girl the baby. It made me upset but not at her cause she was only a child and didn't know better. About 6 months after I had my daughter a family member (totally unprovoked, we weren't talking about weight or anything) said to…

I'm in the same boat. People say to try and get some exercise in...might relieve some of the stress.

Not sure what I can say that will help, I just didnt want to read and run. I too suffer from Binge eating. It doesn't take much for me to flip that switch from 'on track' to all out crazy binge. LOts of water, fill up your plate with salads/low cal foods. Use the walking track or gym every day. take the stairs instead of the elevator (bonus: will probably be faster :) anyways). Dont beat yourself up over a gain. Enjoy your trip!

thanks! I think I will mention to her that she should get a list of 'allowed' activities from her physio too

She goes to physio a couple of times a week. So she is already trying to do whatever the physio says. But she misses the gym and is not sure what else she can do. She is still waiting to get into the DR. Apparently its quite a wait. We are in Newfoundland, Canada

I am 42 and though I think it is a bit harder (at least for me) to lose weight as quickly as I used to...I am still glad I am trying! Good for you!
-
I think you are doing FANTASTIC! Wish mine was as fast! :) As long as you are doing it the healthy way it seems like it would be good. Usually it slows down after a few weeks. 1-2 pounds a week is average I think. Way to go! and Keep it up!

Wow, your post brought me to tears (in a good way!). What an amazing story and attitude! It was so nice to hear (read?) this message this morning. I really needed to read this today!! You inspire me! "Weigh' to go!
-
Me too! Love my Diet coke!

Doesnt seem like you are eating enough to me. I think also if you want to lose weight from or 'spot tone' your thighs as such it will require specific exercises that are targeted for that area.

Thanks everyone for the adds!
