LOLOL you were sweating because of the heat. lol. but if u insist, measure your heart rate, then try to get your heart rate on the treadmill/elliptical up to that number and see how many calories u burn per minute

if you are unfit then yes. personally if my heart rate is below 150 i don't count it as exercise. while walking my heart rate is usually 90-100. that's too low for me to count.
