Trying to do this the old fashioned way

I'm Nikki, I live in South Florida and I've tried everything from dieting to gastric bypass. I had the bypass 13 years ago and lost 150 lbs but slowly over the years I've crept back up more than I'd like. The problem was that even though I had the surgery I never changed my habits, so here I am again - almost back to square one - and trying to do this the old fashioned way through diet and exercise. I love that this community appears to be so supportive to the goals and I feel more optimistic than ever that I can do this! I'd love to go on the journey with you, so feel free to add me if you like!

Hey girl! I'm in Fl also and have about the same amount to lose.

I know you can do this!! Just take it day by day and don't stress the big picture.

Finding a good diet and watching what you eat and counting calories seems hard in the beginning. You always think that its too much work and that you will always be hungry, and always feel like you need to eat. But if you get on a good plan and just stick through the "growing pains" of change, it gets easier and it becomes routine. If you eat the same things and the same portions, you can keep track of diet easier. It seems like a pain in the *kitten*, but once you and your body get used to it, it becomes a piece of cake and becomes habit and you will start to see change. As with anything else, its hard at first but gets easier!

    Good luck!
