I'd like to get to 130 and stay at or under there by the end of 2017. Since April of this year, I've lost about 30 pounds just through a drastic change in diet and exercise...and I'll admit I didn't utilize any of the MFP logging tools like I have done in the past to get here. Funny how a health scare motivates you more…

SW: 164 CW: 160.5 GW: 154 So down a few this week which is nice. We will see if it continues...especially as we have vacation coming up in just over a week!

I'm in also. I started back here on 4/25 at 172 and am down to 164 as of today. That's about 8 pounds during my first 5 weeks and another 10 for the next 4 weeks sounds great to me. I'm doing 16:8 IF (fasting for 16 hours, eating for 8) and trying to restrict my calories during my 8 hour eating window.

Another birthday dinner at Sakura last night. Wow is that rice sooo addictive? I tried to control myself...I did...and at least I didn't eat it all but definitely overindulged on the carbs. Scale wasn't so kind this morning. Getting back on track today. Have some tennis planned for this week in the evenings, plus will try…

There is something about that scale that makes me so happy. I wish I could post my weight every day, just to see the ups and downs but seeing me closer to 160 than 170 today is very promising. My official weigh-in day is Wednesday, so I'll hold off on putting my weight here until that day, but I'm motivated even more to…

It definitely gets much harder. My weight has slowly crept up since I passed 40. I got down to close to 145 back in 2010...and six years later I have been hovering over 170 and I'm only 5'2" tall. When I saw my doctor earlier this year for my annual physical she told me I gained 5 pounds in a year. UGH! I don't feel like…

Funny how much a tiny movement on a scale can motivate a person! I just hope I can keep up these new habits. I feel as though I've broken my "sugar" habit, though I still have a little bit every now and then. Last night DH really wanted Rita's and while the good choice would have been sugar-free italian ice, I am a lover…

Heading out to dinner tonight with friends...Italian food....so not good for watching my carbs! I've already scanned the menu and made a few possible selections and did a quick calorie check on them to see what range they will be for me. This is my new life...but I can't let food deter me from my goals. Two days of…

Just completed a 16 hour fast and am eating a small lunch of strawberries for now. I think I'm going to do the fast once or twice a week as long as I don't have a tennis match to play the next day. Really hoping to get in the 3 tennis matches I have to play this weekend but it is still raining here in MD...I think this is…

Great idea...thanks!

Thanks! I definitely agree. I know I'm going to have bad days (or weekends even) but I just accept it and do my best to get back on track afterwards. Yesterday it was back to eating better (for the most part) and a nice evening walk as well. I need to stop the carbs, I had a few yesterday which I know didn't help. The…

Just checking in here. Hope everybody did well this weekend. I don't think my eating was as good as it could have been, but it also wasn't as bad either. Unfortunately had a party to attend on Saturday and too tough to track what I ate there as there were just so many little things from meats to desserts...and some alcohol…

Ok everybody weekend is coming, Mother's Day meals are planned, hoping I can keep it under control all weekend. Scale is dropping slowly, but every little bit is motivation. Even though I know I shouldn't weigh every day...I do but I'm willing to deal with a 1+ pound and not get discouraged....just motivates me to try…

Yep the struggle is real. I have been the same weight for the last few years and then I had my annual physical last month (I turned 44 in March) and found I had gained 5 pounds in a year, and was definitely feeling it more. Nearly constant heartburn and sad to think that I weigh almost as much now as I did fully pregnant…

Four years ago...one of my first times using MFP...and I weighed 13 pounds less than I do now. One of my new goals wll be to surpass that low and record a weight here that is the lowest ever. Baby steps! It is a new day and time to get started!

Sugar is SUCH a tough one to break. It usually takes a few days of not eating it to really stop the cravings. I'll admit when I do that I am such a total B!&@% for those first few days! Hang in there!

Sound familiar here. It was just a few years ago also for me that I was about 20-25 pounds less and felt great about it. I lost weight (actually had to) to fit into a bridesmaid dress for my brother's wedding. Then it slowly starting coming back on me. Wishing you luck and lots of support here!

It's funny how much just watching those numbers on the scale go down does to our motivation! Way to go!!!

LOVE your profile photo BTW. Major WDW fan here. Good luck and can't wait to here you do. I've done the C25K program before...it's great. We are sorta doing it ourselves at home, well my husband is starting it again and I'm trying to work with him as well when I can.

:) Just turned 44 in March, had my annual physical earlier this month and was told I gained 5 pounds in a year. OUCH! Last year when I saw doctor I was down a few, but no matter I'm still pretty close to my weight when at the end of my pregnancy with each of my kids at this point and it's not good. Starting to experience…

Ok this 44YO is in for this one. Had my annual exam and gained 5 pounds in a year. My diet hasn't gotten that bad and I play tennis once or twice a week. Blaming my metabolism! So gotta kick it into get somehow!

I'm back myself after being on and off here for that last few years. You can add me too!
-
Just getting re-re-re-re-acquainted with MFP after dropping off the radar. Need to get motivated, hoping a challenge will help. Please add me if possible...thanks! :)

I'm another one at 5'2" and at my heaviest...today I was thrilled that the scale ready 156.5 instead of the 157/158 it has been in the last week or so. I've got three kiddos at home as well and will be turning 40 in jus a few weeks. My short-term goal is to get back under 150 by March and by summer I'd like to be closer to…

I'm 39 (for the next few weeks at least) and have probably at least 30-35 pound to lose to get to my ideal weight. Honestly I'll be happy to drop about 20-25 though. My goal is to be at last halfway to the 30 pound mark by the end of Spring. It's certainly MUCH hard to do in my late 30s then it was in my early 30s. Right…
