I know that exercise helps me, so yes, even if I feel sluggish and have cramps, I know I will feel better afterwards and get to work. I feel great after a workout!

Thanks! I think I'll use this more as an opportunity to see what a 5K really means so I can run my planned race in May really well!

30 Day Shred is an exercise video by Jillian Michaels. It has three levels, and each is about 30 minutes. It's great, even though it kills you. I would definitely reccommend you to try it!

Good luck everybody! I think there is a 30DS result topic - we can look there for inspiration, and after a month post our own!

Thanks for the support! I really want to finish it this time so I'll be blogging about the whole thing. Let's hope it works!

That would of course be great! How have you been doing with it? I tried going through it today, and figured that I am way more out of shape than I thought, looks like I'll need to dedicate the whole month to it. I bought a new dress for spring - have to look great in it by the time it gets warmer!

Yes, I love Killer Buns & Thighs even though it literally kills my legs :D Maybe I should just start mixing her other videos together for fun :)

I do that on weekends. In the morning, I strenght train or do a JM dvd, and in the afternoon I go for a run. That kind of system keeps me energized all day and stops me from falling into a lazy-weekend mode. Feels good!

Definitely liver and also olives. I have never been able to stand those. I kind of agree about the slimy stuff - yogurts are okay, but they used to make a really slimy and weird looking dessert when I was in middle school... bad memories :D

Well, I am 18, between 5'6 and 5'7 and around 170 right now. Feel free to add me, and good luck with your goals :)

Yes, I usually log it as circuit training but if you have a heart rate monitor, you can add your own exercise and simply put in the calories your HRM gives you.
-
Thanks! I see that most of you love the classes - I guess I will have to give it a try (let's hope I don't do too bad)! Maybe I will convince some of my friends to come with me, just so I am not the only newbie around :D

Well, I have tried them both and my personal opinion is that 30DS is easier than Ripped. Both of them are going to make you sweat - Ripped is just going to do it in a more brutal way. However, the Ripped in 30 routines also seemed more fun than 30DS, Jillian mixed up more exercises there. I love them both, though, as hard…

Yes, I have got around 40 pounds to lose, and I would like to get it done by summer. Tomorrow am starting (or rather re-starting) 30DS and doing running (and Zumba probably) as my cardio. Let's get this done! :)

The first answer that comes to mind is exercise. My favourite is running - it exhausts me physically but gives me a mood boost I wouldn't trade for anything else. Stress flies away as miles fly by. And by the end of my run I usually have figured out an action plan to deal with anything I have to deal with. Good luck…

I'd say that it depends on what kind of person you are. Getting to the gym requires a bit more motivation than just putting on a DVD you have at home but being there can help you challenge yourself more - simply because you will not like to let the time you spent getting there go to waste. And, of course, other people are…

I have about 40 lbs to lose - and I am determined to do that this year. If you want to chat, send me a friend request - I like your idea about doing it before summer comes! That will be a challenge for sure! :)

I used to go to the gym with my friend but then I realized than I can do better if I work out by myself. Plus, she kind of stopped going and tried to persuade me to go have coffee with her instead :D That wasn't very motivating :D I sometimes miss being challenged by her but I do realize that I can concentrate better if I…

If you have a heart rate monitor, it's pretty easy. You can create your own exercises under Exercise -> My Exercises here on MFP. Fill in the information about calorie burn, and add it to your diary! I would suggest investing in a good heart rate monitor - if you do not have a HRM, determining the calorie burn will be much…

Thanks everybody! I guess I will just start off easy then, and I liked that idea about doing some yoga, too :)
