  • I'm looking for a few more active/supportive friends. I'm in my late 40s and fighting to stay fit and healthy. Feel free to add me if you like!
  • I'm not 50 yet, but I'm 47 if that is close enough, lol. Feel free to add me.
  • Welcome, I'm also looking to add in some new friends. Feel free to add me!
  • I'm also back on the wagon, so to speak. I am trying to get into the routine of logging too. Feel free to add me.
  • Hi, I've had Hashimoto's for 30 years. My Son was also diagnosed with it 10 years ago. He was 7 at the time. I struggled for years trying to find a Dr. That would treat me as a person not a number. I too only took T4 for years and had chronic symptoms. I am now on a natural thyroid that has a lot of aT3 and my Dr. Just…
  • Hi, I am doing the same thing, trying to recommit after 2 surgeries in 2015 and gaining some weight back as a result. Yeah, it was a difficult year...anyway I saw in your post that your hypothyroid, I am as well., so I know about the weigh loss journey in that area also. If you're still looking for some nonjudgmental,…
  • I lost weight for a while doing the same thing- not watching fat, carbs, protein, etc. while staying at 1200 calories. I didn't eat fast food, but I ate too much of other things. Eventually my weight loss stopped, and I found once I reached maintenance mode it was hard to be disciplined. I also wasn't cutting fat, meaning…
  • I use a peep as well as a kisser button. Between the two I know I am lining up to exactly the same spot every time and my accuracy and grouping got better. Now if only I could find something that stops the shakes when that turkey or deer walk by!
  • I will see if I can still handle the draw weight that I'm set at, 50 lbs. Haven't done much due to the shoulder thing. I may have to drop it back to 42 our minimum weight for deer, and readjust my sight which I hate messing around with. I guess I better try to start doing some high rep bent-over rows and try to work my way…
  • I am the same, interested in what others recommendations are. Even after upping my calories to 1600 I am still hungry especially in the evenings. If I go any higher I gain.
  • Something you may want to research is raw soy vs cooked soy product. I have heard some say that cooked soy is ok to consume with thyroid medications but that raw isn't. I don't eat any soy just as a precaution, knowing that it can potentially interact with my medication and render if less effective.
  • Amazing accomplishment!
  • Hi I am on quite a bit, and always willing to help and support. Add me if you would like.

  • I have issues with too much gluten filled products. If I eat a lot of bread, pizza crusts, pasta, that kind of thing it totally upsets my digestive system and makes me bloat horribly. I think like someone suggested, eliminating each food group for a week or two will give you a good idea as to what is bothering you or…
  • I buy my tahini from a Mediterranean foods store, it's imported and I love the flavor, don't know if that makes a difference or not. I also add things like jalapeños, pimentos, sun dried tomatoes, roasted garlic.
  • I will go out but probably only during shotgun season this year April 17th- May 31st. I can't pull a bow back right now, shoulder is still messed up, seeing an orthopedic doc on the 16th. I am so bummed because this is my favorite time to bow hunt, spring turkey!!! Saw some all puffed up in the backyard last weekend.
  • That's awesome info, kinda what I was hoping to learn about myself with it. I saw that my entries on MFP did finally sync up with fitbit. It is definitely an end of the day thing where everything catches up. So, I won't even bother looking into the number until around 10pm, which doesn't really help you during the day, but…
  • I am on board with you!! I just got the fit bit flex too, I was wondering the same thing. It's really confusing because it doesn't log your workouts on your home page like other apps. I box for my workouts, and it seems to pick up most of that, but the calorie burn is still off from what my HRM usually states. So, I just…
  • IDK if I'm a hottie or whatever, but have been told I don't look like I'm 45 nor act like it. I never want to be one of those that complain and hide from life. Embrace your age and keep moving and experiencing it!
  • I think It's a good topic. My brother in law has a faulty heart and one day may be on that needed donor list- so it's important to those that have to live it or have a dear friend or loved one that may need it as a precious gift of life one day. I am listed as an organ donor and also as a bone marrow potential match donor.…
  • LOL, too funny. Just make sure you shave. Removal might be a bit painful otherwise.
  • It's been tough for me to figure out how to maintain because as some said, the old habits creep in. I have gained some back, then lost it again, usually staying within 7 to 10 lbs of my original goal. But it's not really something that you can just relax on once your there-it's still a lot of watching things. After losing…
  • Pretty hair and eyes!
  • There are actually lots of recipes out there specifically for green smoothies. They are very nutritious. Same as eating them in a salad.
  • You could try the cocoa crack recipe and add peppermint extract to it and see how it turns out... 8Tbsp coconut oil 8 Tbsp dark cocoa powder 4 packets of stevia 1Tbsp extract of choice. (I used orange but try peppermint!) 32 truffle wrappers 1 packet of stevia or I used xylitol powdered sugar to dust the tops of the candy…
  • Hi, I have hypothyroid, have since I was 17 and I'm now 44, but no PCOS thankfully. I've read some things that do say that those two issues can be inter-related as well as the infertility and hypothyroid. Really your whole body depends on it's endocrine system to be able to function properly. I would recommend a book…
  • I took a decent white tail buck during rifle season. My son did as well within 15 min of me. It was a good day. We have a lot of great venison meat this year!
  • Pack animals need a sense of belonging. I love my pups, but I have to say it's so easy to just have my cats poop in a box when it's 5 below zero and I don't want to go outside...
  • I have had to eliminate gluten from my diet. I have discovered that this alone has helped my bloating issues even with the whole monthly thing. I am not sure if you are referring to the monthly deal, or in general with odd foods and travel etc. If it's just that, Gas-ex works, or water with lemon can help with bloating…
  • Well, I have a regular buck tag for our area for rifle, which has a bonus tag for a doe because of over-population. Then I have a state wide archery for a buck and antlerless. I have a statewide for another Buck and Doe (hunters weapon choice in season). My Husband has the same. We have never taken over 5 total in a…
