@cjh77 Like I'm looking at someone I actually know.

Yeah don't sweat a day-to-day difference of a pound or even more than that. Track your inches for truer results! It's probably water weight, I've heard you can fluctuate in weight up to 5 lbs due to water. Have you had a lot of sodium or alcohol in the past day? Those can make you retain water...anyways, don't worry about…

Most bang for your buck? Free weights and compound exercises. They hit multiple muscle groups and thus work out your body more than isolation exercises do (i.e. machines(not that machines are all bad)) and you get more of a workout in less time (not that you should rush). Free weights (dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells…

Only my mom, for some reason. Drives my sister crazy too.

WTG!! Progress ftw!

Either a parfait or a snickerdoodle ^_^

To my understanding, you should ALWAYS stay above your BMR. Take 20% away from your TDEE (Divide your TDEE by 10, multiply that number by two, and then subtract it from your TDEE) and have that be your goal. You can choose to add back in exercise calories or not, I personally do.

Been working on (and struggling with) my squat form for a while now. I was starting to think this was the case (tallness) as well and did research. The heel lifts help, but I have been trying to correct my form to the point of not needing that. Thank you, OP for sharing your tips! Here are some I've found and am trying…

Amazons, represent!! Hi! :drinker:

Apologies if I've already replied to this thread  I'm 5'9" and in the range of 145-150lbs depending on the day. My goal is 140 but it's been alluding me for some time now. If I ever were to reach it I think I'd aim for 135 but it seems my body likes being at around where I'm at now. We'll see....

I think that high protein and (relatively) lower carbs is a good goal, but don't call it a diet! Change your lifestyle and how you eat to reflect these goals permanently. IMHO.

I'm struggling with the same thing! I lift and I want to log the lifts but MFP doesn't seem to be the way. And according to my TDEE and BMR numbers, even minus 20% in an attempt to lose inches while lifting has me at around what MFP considers "maintenance" or higher. Definitely still experimenting- I keep my diary goals…

Agreed. You're most sore after the first time getting back into lifting after a break. It'll get better the more you do it. I'm always sore (especially 2 days out) after lifting but it's nothing like the soreness after my first time/after a long break.

Haha yes! I <3 fat (in my foods, the real stuff). Now if only I could stop loving sugar so much...
-
How much is "too much sodium", like what amount are we talking here. Want to make sure I'm keeping this in check!
-
This would explain a lot....
-
Very nice! It really shows on you! :) And you look more confident too.

I used to do cheat days and just go hog wild on them...like, eat myself sick (almost). I quickly learned I didn't even like cheat days for that reason, I always overdid it. SO I would say find small ways to enjoy things you like in your day-to-day lifestyle, then you won't need to feel like you're denying yourself anything…

Congrats, this is amazing!!

You CAN do it!!

WTG!!!

WTH, you should have gone!!

Online interaction/online dating is extra extra creepy, in my experience. Met a few good guys of course, but I remember one interaction where the guy insisted I have a threesome with his friend and him as that was something he "had to know I could comfortably do" before he would consider dating me. When I refused, he wrote…

You guys are funny, I especially enjoyed the Cake reference B) I would love to rock a true crop top (mid-drift, not rib drift). Not inappropriately, but something cute in that style that shows my belly to a music fest or something. I'm probably dreaming because I'm not a fan of my stomach but we'll see...that would mean…

Hi! I'm just over 5'9" and sitting at about 145lbs give or take a few pounds. Trying to get to 140, but as you know it gets harder once you get towards the end of your weight loss :P Good luck lady! Going to add you now...

I do lift (3 days a week, but I've been slacking this month). Heavy lifts, at least as heavy as I can go. I'm not sure my official BFP, but when I average all the online calculators and different methods of finding yours out via measurements, last I checked it was 20.5%. Again, not sure how accurate that is. Mainly, I walk…

Just turned 24 yesterday! I'm just over 5'9"

Might not be the right "style" if you're looking for a speedo, but Blackmilk Clothing offers Long Torso sizes on some of their one piece suits. Personally, I love them!!

Keep on keepin' on, you're doing great!
