Start working out again and build metabolism and more energy.

Have you added this to your diary yet? It should tell you.

The apple idea is a good one. Eating something small that has a good combo of fiber/protein/carbs is good before a workout. Will provide you that boost you need and not be super hungry afterwards. Just remembered there's actually a guy in my gym who eats a banana in the locker room right before he starts his runs. Try…

I did until I spaced out my meals a bit. For example I wake up and drink a glass of water (5a). Eat breakfast at work around 7:45-8a. Eat a light snack, usually a fiber bar around 10:45. Run three miles at 11:30. Eat lunch at 12:30. Another snack around 3p. Dinner @ 6. Do something like that with fiber rich foods and you…

12 grams of protein in air popped, unflavored, unsalted, unbuttered popcorn - You got it! Check my diary, I eat it everyday. Here's a link about how good it is for you - http://www.livestrong.com/article/265098-health-benefits-of-air-popped-popcorn/

Remember - it's a marathon, not a sprint. I know that's been said a million times on here, but trust me. You have to be patient.

Add air popped popcorn to the list. 3 cups (popped) is 45 calories and also packs 12 grams of Protein, and 18 grams of Fiber. That's of course not adding anything to it. Try it - it's not bad! :)

I've read that the Natural ones are the best to eat. The fat is high, but its very low in sat fats as its mainly the good kind, the unsaturated fats. Those overall fat numbers are very deceiving. Very high in Protein and low in sodium. But? Use sparingly. Like on toast? No more than a couple teaspoons or one tablespoon.…

Welcome to the fold and good luck!

One last thing, even those FF Yogurts aren't that great for you. They are still high in calories with little to no fiber benefit. If you have to eat yogurt, stick to the FF Chobani's or some other Greek style yogurt.

I know this doesn't work for everyone, but this is what I eat... Hot air popped popcorn with no added salt or butter. Big source of fiber and protein with low calories Raw veggies like broccoli and carrots, no dips Apples, especially Fuji. For a treat, dip them into 1/2 tbsp of peanut butter Fiber bars - watch for the ones…

Agree with all the above and want to add a question What are you eating to get to 1200?
-
First things first. Get fitted!
-
Chances are they have Teriyaki Chicken. Ask them to put the sauce on the side. Order brown rice on the side as well and possibly steamed veggies.
-
NO QUICK FIXES. Well said.

You and I have pretty much the same in common. Used this site, then faltered and now I am back. Welcome and good luck this time around!
-
Way I see it, why not make it open? You've gone to the trouble to join the site, why not make yourself accountable fully?
-
Agree and also depending on what you are eating to get to that 1,200 mark is the question. I would suggest setting it to lose a pound a week unless you've already done so. Other suggestions are exercise 4-5 times a week and mix it up. Do two different things per week and then switch it up the following week, etc.

Raw baby carrots are always great. Plus those Fiber Bars are always good.

Fantastic! And your screen name is the best yet.

I usually get steamed shrimp and broccoli with Gen Tso sauce on the side. According to MFP if you use about 1/2-3/4 of the sauce, and a half cup of white rice the entire dish is approx 650 calories. Not bad considering what you are eating. You can never go wrong with their steamed veggies. NOT cooked in sauce

Thanks. I should add the fact that I was 230 a few years ago and got down to 200 only to put it all back on again. Couple years later I started this out again at 245, and am now 219. But the thing that's strange to me is that I am pretty close to looking and wearing my clothes as to when I was 200. So getting to 200 this…

Yes it helps to retain water, but from what I understand, a little salt won't hurt. That being said I would also keep an eye on how much sodium is in the food you are eating. Most days, I eat in the 1,500-1,700 cal range and burn another 500 cals, eat pretty healthy, and still go over my sodium content. Nobody to my…
