Good morning
For the past year, I have absolutely REFUSED to get on the scale at the doctor's office. "I" knew that I had gained a lot of weight and they could SEE that I had gained a lot of weight, but I really didn't want the documented proof.
Went to the doctor yesterday and finally stood on the scale - showing a drop of about 19 pounds from the last weigh in.
THAT wasn't the good news.
The doc came in and said a LOT of great things, such as (paraphrased):
"You look better than I ever remember seeing you..."
"Your blood pressure is great. We can reduce the meds by half."
"Your cholesterol is great. We can reduce those meds by half, too."
"The osteoporosis test looks good. Doesn't look like there has been any more bone loss since the last time."
"I don't want you to lose much more weight."
(I don't like the idea of having to take any meds, but because of other non-weight related medical issues - history of stroke and TIA - there really is no way to get off the meds completely.)
It was definitely a good day.
