Thanks everyone! This was very helpful. I am back on track.

The Paleo diet has helped a lot with emotional eating since I'm usually so full from healthy foods. I didn't log and can't even remember portion sizes. I'm just worried im going to go back to my old mindset now that I feel like crap.

You want to know how many you are supposed to get or literally how to track them? I keep my eye on them through this app.

It was only 2 cups some days...

Aww I have everything but the blue eyes and the weight. This is good motivation to lose those 15 lbs!

I was thinking they sounded like soundscapes...and then realized after typing it in what he meant. :p

I always found that running helped me with both. Once I really began to run often, I realized that I couldn't run as well when I smoked. Exercise makes me feel healthier, and I lost the desire to make my lungs gross when I needed them to work so well. Plus, the more cardio you do, the more calories you get for snacks ;)

I have heard that whey itself can cause stomach problems, but I'm not sure how much truth is in that.

Thanks for the advice!

So what is the best mixture? How much should I be eating of each? Or is the MFP default the best settings?

I'm totally with yall on this! I've been doing a ton of ab exercises and cardio, so I can feel my abs underneath my fat lol. So my new plan (as of yesterday) has been to lose that layer of fat before my beach trip in July!!

Okay, I might try that tomorrow. Thanks!!

I do both! I think distance running and strength training are DEFINITELY great to do together. I just ran my first half in March, I've run a few 5k's and I'm trying for a marathon in the fall. This is what my schedule is like right about now. Although I have to say, it's time consuming to do both!! Sun: always a rest day…

I'm a pear shape, so it's hard for me to lose weight in my thighs and hips. About a month ago though, I started doing the abductor/adductor machine. That seemed to tone up and slim down my thighs more than anything else. The actual shape changed, and my legs aren't as jiggly.

I took a Pilates class as an elective two years ago. I haven't done it since then because I don't have the money for a class. However, it really toned me up! Most of the exercises are around your core. My arms and legs didn't get much stronger, but they did get much more flexible. The hour-long, twice a week class gave me…

I have heard you can count any drinks without caffeine (because caffeine actually dehydrates you, making you need even more water!). But I'm not sure if that's true...

Victoria's Secret makes yoga panties. If you wear thongs, buy the yoga thongs. I run in them, and it literally feels like you're wearing nothing. The hipsters and briefs are good too, but they do give me a wedgie

Running DEFINITELY works! Any distance will help. However, I personally see a difference only if I run 40 minutes or more a day. Your legs will get firmer, your abs start building muscle, and you burn a lot of calories (just make sure you don't eat back more calories than you burn).

Thanks everyone! This was SO helpful!!!
