If the pain is really bad then maybe you should just stick with eating at your recommended calories for weight loss till it's better. You can still lose weight without exercise, and if your body needs time to heal you should really listen to it. If it's not that bad then you could try things that don't put to much pressure…

This is what I do. I keep just enough clothes to wear till I get new ones. I don't keep the old ones since I'm never going back to where I was. As for the smaller clothes thing; I never had small clothes to begin with so now that I'm losing weight I've got nothing to drop down into. Love the response of keeping a tote of…

That really sucks that you can't find support. Maybe just keep your ideas of what diet you want to go on to yourself, or make it as simple as mentioning that you are trying to eat right. No one really needs to know how you are going about losing weight unless they want to support you. Finding what works for you is really…

Congrats on a fantastic achievement :)

celery carrot sticks, chicken wraps, raisins/grapes/apple wedges, saltine crackers (low sodium, multi-grain) just to name a few options :)

Sounds like there is much more to the story then just Dad gets drunk and rips doors off hinges. If the house is filthy to the point that it seems they would be sick or couldn't walk without hazard then I agree with bm99 call Child Protection Services. If you don't know the mother that well then you can't make judgements on…

Silly but I want to share. I've never been able to fit into Old Navy pants. However, today I not only managed to get into them but found that (though still a bit tight) I can fit into a size 12 and button and zip them without holding my breath or anything! (I started in a 22 really should have been 24 pants)

Congrats on such an amazing lose so quickly for one. Sorry to hear you've been going through so much pain and mental anguish. I started the year out doing lots of exercise and cutting my calories low but my knees and wrists started to feel like they were going to either break of pull out of the sockets. I haven't stopped…

All depends on my mood, if I'm stressed out and hungry then it all goes down the same way; by the handfuls. If I'm eating and kind of bored at the same time I'll sort them out and eat one of each color. I usually do that with fruit snacks. I also tend to eat about three of the snacks then a bite of fruit or veg I happen to…

This is a personal opinion. What works for one doesn't always work for all.

My husband found the kitchen and loves to cook. I like it when he does, just wish he would choose healthier options. It's not much of a turn on though, mainly because he became kind of territorial over the kitchen when he is using it. Don't find it much fun when I can't even get a drink while he's making breakfast. Having…

Well congrats on a major achievement for you! I wish you well and hope that you and your baby do wonderfully. For the healthy lifestyle I suppose eating cleanly (little processed foods) and moderate exercise (if you are able to with doctors okay). Just choose things that you know are healthy for you and they will be…

Usually when I have to log something as 1/3 cup or 1/4 cup I go to the drop down item and select a cup worth then put in .33 or .25 for my serving. I don't do so well with the tablespoon conversion but I just found this website that has your answer. http://www.asknumbers.com/CupToTablespoon.aspx Hope it helps.

Scrambled egg with peas, onion, and cheese. Yogurt with raisins. Got to love oatmeal, just so many thing you can put with it - strawberries, honey, almonds, cranberries, the list goes on. Breakfast burritos- 1/2 wheat tortilla, egg, bell pepper, tomato or salsa.

I have no idea what those numbers mean but congrats on getting a good review from the doc. :)

Nicely put.

It took me about 3 months to lose my first 30lbs. I'm hoping for the last 30 to come off quickly but not happening so fast. I dropped my calories down far the first few months and did a lot of exercise, drank a lot of water. I still drink a lot of water and do exercise but I've adjusted my calories and have slowed down on…

Cardio boxing, swimming, yoga/ Pilates, situps/crunches, donkey kicks (I hope I have that one named correctly). Just some suggestions.

I hope you get more help on this subject because I don't use apps for running. But I hope I could make a suggestion- if you like to hear something that tells you when to walk or run for a certain amount of time try to set up a play list with songs that will give you cues to run or walk. Something like Queen Bicycle for a…

Great work! Looking good :)

Interesting post. I'll do some research on this. If I come up with the same info that you've provided I'll try it out and pass it on to my mother-in-law who has a hard time with high sodium/ high blood pressure/ etc.

I haven't fallen so far as to stop all my healthy habits but I have fallen off the wagon for a week or two (usually it's my exercise and sweet tooth that hits hard). But my motives are all around me. I gave birth to my son in March of 2011 and he has kept me thinking of my health for him. I have other reasons to get…

I have a low self confidence level as is, so when I look at my old pictures it's not to see what everyone else saw with all my flaws but to see how far I've come. I look at my pictures only to say "You aren't her any more" or never going back. They keep me motivated not to go back to what I was, and show me how far I've…

Well you have to evaluate why you are eating so much at night. Are you eating out of hunger or boredom? If you are eating out of hunger; try to adjust the time in which you eat. I personally eat about every two hours but everyone is different. Also try to eat things that will help you feel full for longer periods of time.…

For figuring out the calories you could search the database for natural apple juice no sugar added (gives you some choices) and search for carrot juice (brings up a list which one option is raw-fresh carrot juice). If you want to use the pulp for some reason you could always add it to yogurt to give it fiber and texture.

Cheese sticks, carrot sticks, celery, grapes, raisins, multi grain crackers (saltines and wheatables are what I fall back on), chicken wraps, trail mix (kind of high in calories and sugar but still a tasty snack), snack pack applesauce containers, apple wedges. Can't think of much more to snack on.
