How do i calculate the nutritional content of home-juiced juice? If i put a 3 small gala apples through the juicer with 5 medium carrots, if the pulp is tossed away, what do you log for the juice you drink? Also, any suggestions for what to do with the leftover pulp?

For figuring out the calories you could search the database for natural apple juice no sugar added (gives you some choices) and search for carrot juice (brings up a list which one option is raw-fresh carrot juice).

If you want to use the pulp for some reason you could always add it to yogurt to give it fiber and texture.

I type in what I use, so if I use 2 apples, 1 carrot and 2 celery, i'll log each of those. I know that when you juice, fiber is pretty much gone once you throw the pulp out, so I just don't pay attention to those numbers and i'll try to go over my fiber that day. I count everything except for fiber when I juice, sugar, calories, carbs.

I know there are a lot of juice recipes in the database already, so I don't usually add it to the database, I just log it as the whole fruits or a recipe for myself.

Also, another idea for the pulp is to 1- use it for muffins, (especially carrot and apple combination) or 9/10 I compost it. Would much rather use it then throw it in the garbage. No food waste.

I agree that you get the majority of the calories out so log the whole thing. The fiber you throw out is good for you but not very caloric.
