Way to go. Stick with it.

Count me in also. I'm 73

At my heaviest I was taking 40mg of Omerprazole. As I started losing weight I was able to decrease the dosage to 20mg. I tried stopping completely but would occasionally get acid reflux. Now I take the medication once every 3 or 4 days and I'm fine.

I feel pretty good. Went from taking 3 blood pressure medications to one and I don't tire as easily.

I'm 72 also. Arthritis in my neck, bursitis in my hip, bad knees from an old football injury. I do a stretching routine prior to using any weight equipment or cardio. It keeps the pain level at a manageable level.

I use a magnesium complex daily. Still have an occasional leg cramp but easier to work off and not nearly as frequent.

I'm 72 and have been here since 2010. Calorie tracking is an absolute must in order to keep your goals in sight. IMO it makes you think about what you're going to eat before you actually eat it and make better dietary decisions.

I've had UC for about 9 years. When first diagnosed my gastroenterologist suggested limiting fiber, nuts, and foods that contain seeds. As the prescribed medication started working I gradually started to reintroduce some of the foods that caused flares. I still don't eat a lot of foods with high fiber and although I don't…

I agree with Maxxitt, you should consult with your gastroenterologist. Constant diarrhea may be an indicator of something else going on with your body that needs to be addressed.

Good for you! Continued success on your journey.

I have UC. I take Balsalazide Disodium (Colozol). Started with it when I was first diagnosed and have been on it for 8 years. It hasn't affected my weight.

Hi Catlover, Weigh and log your food intake carefully and also keep track of your activity. For what it's worth, I found that raising my activity level not only helped shed some weight but also made me feel a lot better both mentally and physically. Stick with it and you'll see results.

I have bursitis in my right hip. I went to physical therapy and learned through a combination of stretching and core building exercises to relieve the pressure on the hip and by doing so easing the pain. It took about 2-3 months to be free of the pain. I still do these exercises 2 to 3 times a week as a warm up for my…

I eat sandwiches most days. Typical will have turkey, ham, tuna salad, or lean roast beef. I always will have a slice or two of tomato and mustard except for the roast beef where I use horseradish sauce. I'll also use dinner leftovers such as pork tenderloin, tilapia, etc.

Got mine yesterday. It was a replacement for a cheap tracker that died after 3 weeks. What a difference! Accurate and does so much more.

I also have sciatica and fortunately it is now pretty much under control. Muscle relaxers did nothing for me and I cannot take ibuprofen and tylenol just didn't cut it. I agree with you about avoiding steroids. It took about 3 months of physical therapy to finally start bringing it under control. I also found that using a…
