I think the best advice is actually making small goals and small changes. If you change everything at once and become super strict on yourself you will eventually burn out and lose the initial motivation. I find it best to remember it is a journey, or a marathon rather than a sprint. Make it a lifestyle and you won't…

i got mine out in december. i mostly ate oatmeal, mashed potatoes, carnation instant breakfast, cottage cheese, applesauce, and bolthouse farms protein drinks. to me, all the icecream and pudding stuff just made me sick thinking about it. good luck! you'll feel better soon!

i love mini challenges! i'm in as well!

good work! it does get easier along the way, and the pain subsides after about day 3. already i'm feeling progress in my entire body! i use 3# weights and that seems to feel best so far. maybe i'll up the weight along the way? idk. happy shredding!

the 30 day shred is a jillian michaels at home workout video. basically, it's 27 minutes of intense (for most people) strength training, cardio, and abs. lots of people have great success as far as inches lost and toning up, and some people even lose some pounds on it! i've heard it's on youtube if you care to take a look,…

thanks for the advice! that's my biggest worry, bc i have a bad left knee and lunges sometimes hurt and are difficult to modify!
-
haha, right there with ya! i started about 2 weeks ago, did level 1 day 1 and could hardly walk for a week and quit! i just did it again today, though, it went much better, but we'll see if i can walk tomorrow....
-
i have to be to work in less than an hour, but you're all inspiring me to start up (again) tomorrow! i started about 2 weeks ago, was soooo sore the next day that i was limping and had trouble even going from standing to sitting haha. but it's nice to know the pain goes away around day 3!!

i have a hard time sipping water throughout the day, but i make myself drink only water when i'm having meals. i tend to drink more while i'm eating anyway, so i can easily get in a good 12-16oz of water in a meal. multiply that by 3 meals (or more smaller meals) and i'm already at 36-48oz!

I mix in some craisins or sugar free jam/jelly

Good answer!

Mmm, juice. I feel like too many limitations lead to giving up or binging. And this is a lifestyle afterall! Can't avoid coffee with cream forever! :)

i eat a few almonds (or some other type of nut), or even a string cheese. some type of protein to hold me over while i work out.
