For me recently I quit my job in October. I dropped from a super active full time job (almost 20k steps at work everyday) , I never had to worry about what I ate cause I burnt so much off. I also work on our farm after hours to just being at home. Summer hit with a vengeance so I’m not outside as much, I’m eating normal…

My polar loop and MFP have synced. Perhaps try again? Go into both apps and connect them to each other.

Hmmn interesting.. Although whilst I'm averaging 18,000 steps per day you're saying to not count the calories earnt?? I wear my polar loop all day everyday. I may spend a couple hours mowing lawns (we're on 30 acres and it's only a push mower not a ride on) but instead of putting in mowing as an exercise as such I just use…

The majority of my friends are all significantly bigger than me. I am not allowed to mention anything about diet, weightloss, heathy eating, anything without getting my head bitten off and told basically told to shut up (eye rolls, tutts etc) Because according to them I don't need to lose weight and how dare I bring up…

Alyssa that's all well and good for you but everyone is different. These forums are meant to be supportive and your whole attitude of holier than thou is not at all helpful! Please stop assuming everyone is "blaming" the medication. I have never needed an excuse before and not starting now. In my case everything I have…

I've never had to weigh what I ate before and successfully lost 18 kgs. That said however my entries are as accurate as possible without weighing.

Ok so I'm on SSRI's too.. And my weight gain started pretty much straight after I started taking them. To date I've put on 12 kgs. I am tracking everything I eat, hubby bought me a polar loop to track all my steps and sleep and all, I am consistently under in my calories every week yet I cannot shift any weight. I have…

I had been wanting a fitbit or something similar for the past 2 years. I didnt get one as i couldnt decide which brand but also what colour... Hubby bought me one for xmas- Polar loop and I love it! It motivates me to get moving as like others i want to smash my goal for each day. I didnt realise how lazy I had gotten. Now…

i think you need go into settings to add in negative calories... if I manually added exercise on top of 20,000 steps or so my calories for those steps would disappear. changing the setting fixed that.

I'm not a personal trainer, but would love to help in anyway!! I get this way too! I'd happily message you or encourage!

Wowsers at the sugar and honey in your breakfast! I feel horrible if my breakfast is over 200 cals (though my cals are much lower than yours) I aim to have snacks at preference under 100 cals each so that way I can have more of them. My 2 sons who snack all day long like me to eat with them so i need to be able to eat more…

It ''sounds'' too thin indeed. but..... At my lightest 3 years ago I weighed in at 50kgs(currently 54).. I am only 5 foot 3.. I wasn't trying to be that small but whilst renovating our house ready for our surprise wedding the weight just fell off me with the non stop moving.. No one said it at the time but after everyone…

It's taken me 12 months to lose 12kgs.. I gained 18 kgs whilst pregnant with my second son( born nov 2011) I lost 8 kgs after having him then started My fitness Pal in mid Jan 2012.. That said, I've hardly done any exercise- and there has been months where I bumped my cals up to 1300 cause I wasn't coping on 1200... I…

Ive lost the bulk of my weight (almost 17 pounds) just through having a calorie deficeit..I am hoping that once i start…

I have a similar issue.. My scales are old school ones, and i dont think they are accurate.. But my weight loss is acurate. So regardless of my actual weight i know that I am indeed losing..Simply stick to one set of scales while on your journey.. I've weighed myself on the chemist scales, and at my parents place and…

odd question.. Why are you their ''friend'' in the first place? I know Ive had a week or two here and there where I've stopped logging,, or not logged consistently.. Life gets busy, more important things in life happen (yes more important than self indulging weight loss) and sometimes we all just need a break from it.. I…

my husband eats whatever he wants and is tiny.. He must have the best metabolism ever.. It does erk me, and yes your entitled to be peeved.. Men, especially your husband should know how important this weight loss journey is and to be respectful. Offering junkfood is not helpful, it is enabling you to be unhealthy and in…
