Hi everyone, I am so happy but so annoyed at the same time and need to vent.....I have lost weight latley but its been a real rollercoaster ( weight goes up, weight comes down) my husband on the other hand has started a physical job, he is eating WHATEVER he want ( this includes chocolate by the block full, biscuits, coke, chips, the works) and is literally dropping the weight off, I on the other hand have been sticking to a firm diet ( minus one day) an hours exercise a day plus im always active as i have three children who keep me busy...I am so happy he is losing weight I just feel so cheated that im doing all the right things and he think its funny he can eat junk and not give it a second thought. It is killing my confiedence as he keeps offering me junk

First time we've heard of this. Sorry. Life isn't all that fair, really. :laugh:0

If you change your focus from losing weight to being healthy, you're kicking your hubby's butt!
Getting smaller is only a teeny tiny part of this experience, for me at least my focus is on being healthy. You're eating good food and you're exercising - job done! Sounds like you're winning the head game. Once you've won the head game, your body will catch up. Might take a while, but that's okay, it's not a race.
Take your measurements too - they give a more accurate picture of things than the scales give. And well done on the changes you've made!0 -
Yes men do lose weight faster and easier than women do.....but take a look at your calories...you might need to adjust it. Also get a tape measure ....some times the scale won't move but the inches fall off! Change up your exercise so you are not doing the same thing all the time, that helps as well.. I will be praying for you! Best of luck!! Blessings!! <><0

It'll catch up with him in the long run, give it a few years. Besides, you can appear healthy on the outside while all that junk food and not minding what you fuel your body with will cause a multitude of problems. My husband is the same way. He eats an insane amount of food but I see him making better decisions lately... CONGRATULATIONS on YOUR weight loss, remember that your doing this to make yourself healthier and maybe sit down and explain to him how he is making you feel. Good luck!!0

Generally speaking, that's how it is for men. My husband drops weight without even thinking about it. Of course, he doesn't want to, so it upsets him. But still. It's frustrating for me. I know what you're going through. All I can say is that you've got to stick with it. Be strong and don't partake in the junk foods he eats. If you can, don't let him eat junk since it's not healthy and isn't a good influence on your kids.0

Ok I will say this as supportive and caring as being a man will let me. This is also what i tell my daughter when she is throwing a tantrum. "A fair is a place with Cotton Candy and Snow Cones and Clowns and rides", "This is not a fair" . That being said, I would say your biggest problems right now is stress, you have so many irons in the fire that you are probably tied in knots inside. You need stress relief, I think if you could unwind and live to be healthy and forget what everyone else is doing(including your hubby), you would live a much happier existance.0

It will eventually catch up with him. My husband used to eat everything in site and not gain weight. Then he had to become less active and had a very difficult time adjusting intake to match the new activity level. Old habits die hard.0

are u eating enough to keep up w ur activites? that can stall u out if ur not eating enough.0

I agree with the comments above. you have to stop saying yr on a diet. until you stop that you will yoyo. diets only work short term. you are changing yr life for the better and teaching yr kids one of life's most valuable lessons on the way, yr hubby my look thin, but let's think about what his arteries must look like with all that fat clogging them, his internal organs coated on sucrose from the sugar. I think you should tell him that yr happy for him but could he support you and your family and make the change together.
on another note - don't compare your progress with ANYONE. you are an amazing individual on yr own journey. persistence, patience with yourself and a little time will see you reach all that you want to reach0 -
my husband eats whatever he wants and is tiny.. He must have the best metabolism ever.. It does erk me, and yes your entitled to be peeved.. Men, especially your husband should know how important this weight loss journey is and to be respectful. Offering junkfood is not helpful, it is enabling you to be unhealthy and in turn unhappy.
My husband has stopped offering me junk food, but still eats it in front of me.. I dont think about it until he does that.. Then all i can think about is junk food..
Stay strong.. Us women always have to wotk harder at everything, but then again we are the superior sex
Oh and since my weightloss journey started I've lost 7kgs but only 3 cams off my waist. So not seeing any major changes in measurements or how my clothes fit.. But that said the majority of my loss has been through calorie deficit not through exercise.. Im sure once I really hit the exercise I'll start seeing some changes!0
