  • It really is/can be for newbies....I'd injured my foot running and wanted some low/zero impact exercise to keep my fitness up. I had no real idea what yoga was, had never done any variety or anything similar such as pilates. I would also describe myself as inflexible! I signed up to a 3 class taster session and have been…
  • When it comes to motivation....cheat yourself....well, kind of... I found that my running/jogging was way more enjoyable and I did more when I ran outdoors - and a clear factor in that is that you are 'forced' to cover a certain distance in order to get back to your start point. To begin with I would run to a local park…
  • You're going to think you've made a lot of mistakes....but just remember "No regrets".....you always make the best decisions you can based upon what you know at the time and feel you've done or said the right thing, so don't regret it! But, hey, your gut instincts are pretty damn good, listen to them more!
  • I had a 405Cx for 3yrs but found the battery life was pretty poor - just got a 610 which seems better so far. If you dont care about size/style as much the 310XT has the same core functions as the 405 or 610 but has much longer battery life and is well respected amongst running forums.

I really,…
  • Four thumbs up!
  • You can do it - I amazed myself at how quickly my grossly overweight body responded when I started running again in January. I'd previously run in a formal 10k race around 3 years ago too and let myself slip since then. You'll more than likely feel pessimistic during your first 3 or 4 training runs but will very quickly…
  • The belt tip is a good one - wearing a belt today at the tightest of it's 'settings', with two well worn extra inches visible where it was being worn just 2 months ago. I can equally visit the local stores on a daily basis and check whether I'm getting closer or further away from fitting into some 34" jeans... Thanks all…
  • I cheat - I make sure I take an Alli capsule (Orlistat) when I have cheese...as long as you are prepared for the 'side effects' of the Orlistat you can enjoy whatever cheese you like with a greatly reduced impact.
