  • Maybe you're at the weight you should be for your age and height. 65kg is a BMI around 23.5 to 24 which is normal. I know BMI isn't a good indicator of weight management, but consider that a weight in the 50kgs range maybe too low to maintain. Just a thought.
  • 70 and older, dude. You look like you're 12 or so. Also, you have one post and it's on this thread. Kinda creepy, IMO.
  • My feelings about weighing daily have changed over the past 50 years. I've been a yo-yo dieter my entire life (I'm 70). I find when I stop weighing daily it's because I'm binge eating and gaining weight. By weighing daily, I believe I'm staying out of denial about my disordered eating habits. Now, I weigh daily. After six…

  • There have been several scientific studies examining the accuracy of fitness trackers. Apple emerges as the most accurate tracker, but none are very good at measuring energy expenditure (calories burned). Here is a summary of study conducted at Stanford: https://9to5mac.com/2017/05/24/apple-watch-fitness-tracking-accuracy/…
  • If you use an iPhone, get an Apple watch. You can store a workout playlist on your watch and listen to it through Bluetooth headphones. You don't need your iPhone.
  • I'm 5' 4" and 137 pounds. I want to lose another seven pounds. I started at 145 and I wore a US size 12/14. I have an apple shape so I have a waist that is bigger than my hips. I couldn't bend over and tie my shoes at 145. I can, at least, bend over now.
  • If they are fruit flies, here's what always works for me. Take a shot glass. Fill it 3/4 full with apple cider vinegar. Add 1 drop of dishwashing liquid to break the surface tension. Put it on a counter top in the kitchen. Count the kill the next day. Also, put the fruits and veggies in the frig for a couple of…
  • I love all olives. This thread just made me crave olives so I ate 5 Kalmata olives. 50 calories. Oh so good!
  • I grew up in on canned salmon. Love the stuff. I used to beg my Mom to give me the bones - soft and yummy. Maybe that's one reason why I don't have problems with osteopenia now. Now, I use the stuff in pouches to put on salads.
  • I just tried to do my first day on Level 1. Wow! That was hard! I had to stop a lot. I have osteopenia so I'm a little worried about all the jumping and the possibility of stress fractures. I'm going to stay with it. I'm turning 60 this year and I need to get in shape just so I can function better.
  • I just bought one last Sunday. I have a BodyBugg and I like the feedback, but I hate wearing it. It was irritating my skin. I didn't like it showing so I wouldn't wear short-sleeve shirts. I wouldn't wear it at night because I could feel it on my arm. Sometimes it just hurt. Monday and Tuesday, I wore the BodyBugg and the…

  • How many grams of fiber are you consuming each day?
  • In my opinion, the fiber goal set by the site is too low. According the the site, I should have 14 grams a day, but I try to get 30 to 35 grams a day.
  • Over what period of time is your weight loss? It was about 5 or 6 weeks before I noticed a difference. Initial weight loss, in my opinion, is mostly water.
  • Yeah. I log the "bad" days. It hurts but that's the point of keeping a record. It keeps me from doing it again.
  • Yeah. Me too. I don't get it. Thanks for asking.
  • I think your body is trying to catch up to the 15 pound loss. I speculate that a lot of that initial loss was water/fluid and you're still losing, but it's not showing up on the scale. Stay the course. Give it another two weeks. I bet you will get on the scale one day soon and you will loose a couple of pounds.
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries 1/2 cup Fiber One Original 1/2 cup Fage 0%
  • Oh my! Please tell me it wasn't lettuce from a bag? I eat that stuff all the time. A couple of years ago, I saw a picture of a bag of lettuce with a frog in it.
  • My faviorite breakfast: 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries 1/2 cup Fiber One Original cereal 1 cup Fage 0% yogurt Mix it all togehter. Sometimes I add a packet of Splenda if the blueberries are not very sweet.
  • Hi, I'm Evie. Nice to be here. I've been losing and gaining the same 15 pounds for the past 10 years. It's getting more and more difficult now that I'm over 50. I've been lurking here for a couple months. I'm now ready to do something about those 15 pounds again.
