  • Hey, everyone! So glad I found this thread! I haven't seen a lot of people in the forums with situations similar to mine. I'm 29 years old (approaching 30), 5'10". I've been on a roller coaster. In 2012, I was 380lbs, and started using MFP for the first time. I did CICO, and did some Xbox 360 Kinect games at home (Your…
  • I'm not a doctor or an expert at all, but I've personally seen 5lbs of fluctuation within a couple days due to water weight, so 10lbs over the course of a couple weeks, especially considering what you would be losing normally doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility =)
  • So you're already to this point where you're thinking "I need to make this change, I'm sick and tired of feeling sick and tired" and you're looking through the message boards here on MFP, you're looking at the app, etc.. You're in a good place to get started, that seed is planted. That's tough in and of itself. There are a…
  • I can't imagine "juicing" celery and getting anything other than water out of it..
  • Friend request sent. I'll add you too, Spaghetti. Think I might be able to learn from you both. I'm at 368lbs right now, but that's after having lost about 30lbs at this point, two months in. I'd love to hit "Twoderland" before too terribly long..
  • I just read this entire thread over the last few weeks. Thanks for keeping me motivated, everyone! I'm down 16lbs since Feb 8th when I started getting serious. I changed my sleep schedule so I can wake up, make a proper breakfast, then walk 2 miles every morning, then after work walk another 2 miles, then dinner. I feel…
  • You can add me, would be nice to see some activity in my feed these days =P
  • Going by this formula, the result in MFP search is pretty close to what I get from this formula. I was wondering if maybe MFP took my weight into consideration when logging this stuff - this suggests that it probably does, and it explains why it would be different for other people as well. Thank you!
  • This is amazing. I'm at 388lbs currently, and that's after losing 9. Started waking up early in the mornings to walk, and I've been doing a mile every morning. I think after seeing this, I'm going to step up my game a little bit! Thanks man.
  • I love me some sunflower seeds, but I usually just eat them in a salad to get my fix.
  • Thanks for all the replies! I figure I'd probably wake up at the same time every day, whether I work out every day or not - I was thinking at the very least I could treadmill for an hour rather than having an off day. I feel like my sleep schedule could get out of whack if I don't wake up at roughly the same time every…
  • I got these a couple weeks ago, they seem pretty solid. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009M27MB2?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00
  • Is it true that pasta just gets broken down into sugar?
  • Handsome fellow, just not into dudes in that way.
  • Our numbers are fairly similar, so this is really nice to see. Great work, sir.
  • I always thought it was just a motivator. Sometimes it's close, sometimes not, I don't think it matters. It's helped to motivate me in the past, and it's not something that people are going to rely on.
  • From what I understand, those last few lbs are pretty difficult to drop. I've dropped 35 since May 3rd eating 1900 cals/day, but I'm also a quite a bit heavier than you are. It's pretty hard to say. If I were you, I wouldn't be discouraged at all if I saw somewhere between .5-1lb difference per week, but also take into…
  • I started May 3rd, and I'm at about 15lbs lost so far. I weigh in on Fridays, actually kind of excited to see what it comes out to in a couple days. Too bad it has to slow down!
  • In my normal routine during the week, I hit ~925 cals once I finish lunch (my goal is 1900 right now, and I've been told that's still low for my stats). The thought of completing my day at 2pm is terrifying to me. Just please be careful and consider what these fine folks have to say, and don't be afraid to treat yourself…
  • Thanks for all the replies! I think I maintain this, I don't feel like I'm starving myself or out of energy. I think I'll just try to get as close to 1900 as I can daily and not worry about it. I'm curious to see where that gets me in a couple of weeks. Thanks again!
  • Getting started up again after a two year "hiatus" . Never went the friends route on MFP before. I've got plenty to go, so feel free to add me!
