  • if you are just dieting, 1/2 g per pound of body weight. If you are exercising or weight training, then 1 g per pound. For good nutrition and weight loss, MFP just standard sets it to the 15% of daily calorie goal. I went into my goals and customized mine because I wanted more protein and less carbs.
