  • I live with a lot of pain from a car accident and when it is summer I do a lot of swimming. It really helps, and when I feel better I walk, but I don't do anything to vigorous. And really watching what you eat too.
  • Too much of anything is not good, even the good things. I am diabetic and while fruits are great I cannot eat and eat and eat. I think moderation in all foods is the wisest route.
  • I just know that this is something I want badly, so even on good weeks or bad weeks I just keep on, knowing in the end it will be better for me.
  • Don't let the bad days hold you back, post them anyway, it will help in the end. We are behind you!
  • I think people only do this to make themselves feel better. I know it hurts, but in the end we are improving ourselves. And they are still left with the hole inside that makes them incomplete. And it's not just children, I have had family feel free to share with me this shortcoming of mine. It really is just to build…
  • Feel free to add me. I have lost 72 pounds so far with 30 to go and would be happy to cheer you on!
  • Run fast and run far now!
  • I was diagnosed with diabetes last year and it became very important for me to get the extra weight off. If you can do it now that will help a lot!. The more weight I lose the better my blood sugars become. I gave up any sugared drinks and drink mostly water, and some crystal light. I try not to have diet soda except…
  • Absolutely you must get a second opinion! He was extremely unprofessional. I was in an accident and had an old man hit me at 70 mph while stopped and throw me over one of those cement medians in a construction zone. I had shoulder and knee surgery but my neck never felt better. My doctor was so arrogant but he did send me…
  • I use crystal light a lot, since I found out last year I was diabetic I don't drink sugared drinks except for the odd Vanilla Coke Zero from Sonic. Also iced tea with non sugar sweetener and I have 1 diet soda for lunch from time to time. I drink about 10 glasses of water a day though as well.
  • My dietician told me never to do that. Carbs are our fuel, with out them we lose protein and then muscle. I do understand your frustration. I lost 60 pounds easily and now these next 7 have like been hammering with a chisel. It takes so long and this plateau is really making me frustrated. My sugars are great but I…
  • Hi, my name is Cheryl , I am 51 and live in Arkansas. I was diagnosed last Feb (almost exactly a year ago)with type two diabetes.(along with high bp and high cholesterol) I take Metformin twice a day and Junuvia once a day. My sugars were high, but once I started exercising, and watching my foods (mostly serving sizes)…
  • There are lots of places on line that offer coupons and we get them in our sunday paper here. You just need to be careful to actually get what is the better value, sometimes the coupons are not. • I think it is great you asked. There is nothing wrong with that at all. They were wrong to even ask! I went out today and asked how many calories were in the dish. He was surprised but found someone to answer my question. I was polite and she was very helpful.

  • I started at 245 and I think it was around 30lbs before people started to notice and by 45 it had started to become very obvious. I am now at 65 down and it has made a great difference. I have gone form a 22/24 to 18 now so it does take a bit before you start changes sizes. You should notice that before too long though.…
  • I will join as well, it i great motivation. Where do we log it?
  • I think counting carbs is the way to go. I walk 4 miles a day/5 days week and follow my diet and have lots 65 pounds and my blood sugar is always great.Anything to extreme will make anyone give up.
  • I am diabetic and so count carbs, but i am allowed 30-45 per meal and 15 or so per snack in between. It seems like you are not getting enough carb allowance. Is this a special diet.

  • I had the same problem, I was so big 5'3" and 245lbs.) it was hard to do anything, I had been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in Feb of last year and needed to get moving pronto! I decided to just go out and just walk and started at 1/2 mile (do less if you cannot do that). I would have to come home and nap for 2 hours I…
